Injury explained (physio view)

Haaland Injury Report 🟡

I’ve only seen very limited footage of the incident and this is what I see.

First off it seems to be his left foot/ankle.

What I see is that Haaland finishes and hits the ball with the front of his foot (toes ish). The finish is blocked by the defender and therefore Haaland ankle goes beyond its range of motion in plantar flexion.

This can cause multiple different injuries, ranging from ligaments to bone injuries. Most likely ligament if anything at all.

I don’t want to come up with a prediction until I have more footage.

But of course a doubt for next GW.

Semenyo post coming later.
