What happened

Bradley Barcola (Liverpool) - Calf Strain. Jeppe published his analysis on 9 Sep 2026, in the 2026/27 FPL season.

Injury explained (physio view)

Barcola was subbed off with an apparent left calf injury.

After an explosive acceleration, he immediately slowed as if he suddenly felt something. A few seconds later he sat down and started rubbing his left calf indicating where he felt pain.

Most likely a left calf muscle strain, probably grade two, keeping him out for a few weeks with a possible return after the international break.

It could be sudden onset cramp, which would be positive. I doubt it, but you never know.
