What happened

Cody Gakpo (Liverpool) - Ankle Sprain. Jeppe published his analysis on 27 Sep 2026, in the 2026/27 FPL season.

Injury explained (physio view)

Eversion/rotation trauma of his left ankle.

I think we're most likely looking at an injury to the deltoid ligament or a high ankle sprain, but of mild to moderate grade.

Gakpo was seen holding his distal part of tibia and fibula (lower leg), which could indicate a high ankle sprain.

It looks bad, but we've seen way worse eversion trauma than this, and the fact that he was able to walk off and didn't look devastated is a good sign.

He's of course a major doubt for GW6, but I wouldn't feel confident ruling him out of GW6.
