Free transfer en masse

With everyone bumped up to 5 FTs we can do almost whatever we want this gameweek. In my opinion you can go in two directions, the simple and boring or the crazy and chasing. Naturally, your team needs to be in a good spot already to play simple and boring, but it should be if you've planned well and didn't get extremely unlucky with injuries.

Simple and boring is good, and I will personally go this route and just bring the extra resources in to the future for now - and maybe more so to get AFCON players back into the team rather than having to transfers them out. Ndiaye, Mbeumo, Sarr are all names that could come back into the team when available.

If you like to chase, Szoboslai looks like a good addition with high probability of taking some and maybe even all pens. He is probably the only "new" player in contention as most of the other players to bring in are all in and around being FPL darlings already such as Andersen, Foden, Thiago or whoever you're looking to buy. O'Reilly is a great option to, but him and Foden can wait another week if possible. They do come with risk though, and I'm not sure I will end up there anyway.

If you want the juicy routes, I really like the next three Fulham fixtures with Burnley, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham. Andersen is already a must here in my opinion, but Muniz is injured and Raul Jimenez will play a lot of minutes over the three games. He is the differential of the week if you ask me, but remember you need to book a transfer to take him out again. The same goes with Kenny Tete, who is actually decent at DEFCON from right back and has a small bit of offensive potential too. Defensive double up here is really cool.

My main concern is that there are not really anyone you have to get rid of other than Munoz, who is injured. Timber is (maybe?) doubtful, but he is not a sell. Neither is Enzo, Anderson, Minteh or whoever has somewhat okay fixtures. This also makes me a bit nervous of going too hard with transfers, as it can really bite you hard if the assets you sell perform well, and this week they are more likely to than normally.

Team selection

I have already made one transfer and that's all I expect to do. I have done Munoz to Andersen today (after Andersen rose to 4.6 unexpectedly). For now, Minteh is in the starting line up even against Liverpool.

If I do more transfers I would consider Kroupi.Jr to Raul, Lacroix to Virgil or Tete. I find it hard to sell Minteh with the games coming up, and Szoboslai is not good enough this GW to make me consider selling Enzo or Anderson. Maybe in GW18 if Szoboslai looks good, but his numbers this season are quite far from what he produced last season. Last season his good games were in the role Wirtz plays, and it seems like Szoboslai are not getting huge amounts of minutes in that role this season.

Captaincy is not really a consideration - Saka over Fernandes over Haaland for me. The site projections agree with the Saka part at least and has Bruno and Haaland close.
