FPL GW15
Spend your transfers!
AFCON transfers are now coming up, so make sure you spend all of your free transfers, as you will be topped up to 5 free transfers after the deadline.
If your team is so good that you don't have to make changes, good for you, but you didn't play aggressively enough then and there is something to learn from.
Or maybe I'm just jealous. Probably both.
I may have to eat my words on Foden after his recent performances, that have both been good in terms of actual FPL points and underlying stats. I still don't mind not owning him (and I won't buy him), but I do think it's a fine move for GW15-17 and then I would personally sell. Be aware he still comes with minutes risk. I wouldn't be surprised if he misses the starting lineup in one of the three next PL games.
Other great buys are Minteh, Andersen, Thiago if you don't already own. They are supposed to be template for a reason. Timber too after his benching unless that has made you too worried about his minutes.
Next week we then have 5 FTs...
and you should not just go and spend them all!
Try and keep them for future flexibility or allow yourself some strategic changes that will not put you in a bad position in the future. I really like using 2 (maybe even 3) FTs next week to set up a great team for weeks to come that allows the roll. If we don't have crazy things happening, you have to "make up" a transfer each week, and that is also unfavorable.
I keep a close eye on Palmer this week. I am contemplating selling Saka and playing with three defensive Arsenal assets from GW16. Hopefully that will be the topic next week.
Team selection
Moves were made last night. Salah is now gone, which has always been the plan in GW15 before he goes to AFCON and Haaland has great fixtures. At season start the plan was TC14 Salah, but it was clear to everyone that was not a good idea and it turned out even worse than anticipated. Luckily that chip is still available for me and is planned for GW17 on Haaland against WHU.
Evanilson has been sacrificed due to both price and performance reasons to accommodate Haaland. Thiago and Haaland are the only forwards I'd like to own currently.
Anderson comes in as I need a cheap midfielder and he is a decent backup who can even start some weeks.

Haaland will be the captain. Still uncertain who will be on the bench between Enzo, Anderson and Van den Berg.
Good luck everyone!
