Eliteserien Fantasy Gameweek 25: captains and best buys
Eliteserien Fantasy Gameweek 25 tips: best buys, captain picks and who to sell
Eliteserien Fantasy Gameweek 25 runs from 30 October to 1 November, straight after the rescheduled Gameweek 12, and it opens a stretch of three gameweeks (25, 26 and 27) with every one of the 16 clubs playing once in each. There are no blanks to plan around. So the transfer you make this week is a bet on a three-gameweek program, and every pick below is argued on that run rather than on one fixture. The two programs that matter most are Rosenborg's, the best defensive run in the game, and Bodø/Glimt's, the best attacking one.
Every number here is our model's current projection. The whole player pool is on the Eliteserien Fantasy player picks page. Our Eliteserien Fantasy Gameweek 24 preview covers the previous gameweek number, and the Gameweek 12 preview covers this weekend's rescheduled round.
Gameweek 25 to 27: whose next three gameweeks are worth owning
Bodø/Glimt have the best attacking program: [H]VIK → [A]TRO → [A]MOL, worth 6.58 expected goals, the most of any club. Gameweek 25 is the headline fixture of the round, with a 57% win probability and 2.34 expected goals at home to Viking, and both away games after it are still around 50% to win. That is three good fixtures for attackers, not one great one. The clean sheets are weaker (0.66 expected over the three), so Bodø/Glimt is a midfield and forward story, not a defensive one.
Rosenborg own the best defensive program: [A]FRE → [H]STA → [A]AAL carries 1.00 expected clean sheets, the only club to reach a full one. This week is the softest of the three at 26%, then 38% at home to Start and 36% at Aalesund. That is a run that gets better after you buy into it. Lillestrøm ([A]STA → [H]AAL → [A]S08, 0.85) are second, with the Aalesund home game in Gameweek 26 at 35%.
Sarpsborg 08 ([H]KBK → [A]H-K → [H]LIL, 5.30 expected goals) have a 31% clean-sheet chance at home to Kristiansund BK this week, second only to KFUM's 33%, and Brann ([H]MOL → [A]FRE → [A]KFU, 5.44 expected goals, 0.71 clean sheets) are steady across all three. Sandefjord ([A]AAL → [H]MOL → [A]KBK) have the second-best attacking run at 5.82 expected goals, with away games at Aalesund and Kristiansund BK, two of the four weakest defensive programs in the game.
Viking are the program to read carefully. [A]BOD is the worst fixture of the round for them, but [H]KFU (64% to win, 36% clean sheet) and [A]TRO follow, and Gameweek 28 brings [H]VIF at 76%. That is a one-week dip, not a reason to sell Viking assets. At the bottom, Start ([H]LIL → [A]RBK → [A]VIF, 3.33 expected goals) and Aalesund ([H]SAN → [A]LIL → [H]RBK, 0.42 expected clean sheets) are the programs to avoid. The full Eliteserien Fantasy fixture schedule shows the runs beyond Gameweek 27.
| Team | Gameweek 25 fixture | Win probability | Expected goals | Clean sheet | Program (Gameweek 25 → 26 → 27) | 3-gameweek xG | 3-gameweek CS |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bodø/Glimt | [H]VIK | 57% | 2.34 | 23% | [H]VIK → [A]TRO → [A]MOL | 6.58 | 0.66 |
| Sandefjord | [A]AAL | 52% | 2.02 | 25% | [A]AAL → [H]MOL → [A]KBK | 5.82 | 0.65 |
| Viking | [A]BOD | 22% | 1.45 | 10% | [A]BOD → [H]KFU → [A]TRO | 5.46 | 0.69 |
| Brann | [H]MOL | 46% | 1.95 | 20% | [H]MOL → [A]FRE → [A]KFU | 5.44 | 0.71 |
| Rosenborg | [A]FRE | 46% | 1.75 | 26% | [A]FRE → [H]STA → [A]AAL | 5.41 | 1.00 |
| Sarpsborg 08 | [H]KBK | 59% | 2.15 | 31% | [H]KBK → [A]H-K → [H]LIL | 5.30 | 0.74 |
| Molde | [A]BRA | 31% | 1.59 | 14% | [A]BRA → [A]SAN → [H]BOD | 5.17 | 0.42 |
| Lillestrøm | [A]STA | 41% | 1.43 | 30% | [A]STA → [H]AAL → [A]S08 | 4.88 | 0.85 |
The table shows the top eight programs by expected goals over the three gameweeks; the clean-sheet column counts expected clean sheets out of three. Win probabilities are built from the betting markets, and the Eliteserien market probabilities page has every match.
Gameweek 25 goalkeepers
Leopold Wahlstedt (5.1m, RBK) is the goalkeeper to buy and keep. His program is [A]FRE → [H]STA → [A]AAL, he projects 3.6 → 4.2 → 4.0, and his 11.8 over the three gameweeks is the highest of any keeper. He is a buy for the run rather than for this week: Rosenborg's clean-sheet chance rises from 26% at Fredrikstad to 38% and 36% in the two gameweeks after. Only 4.5% of managers own him.
Pontus Dahlberg (4.8m, LIL) is the hold for the 21.6% who own him: 4.1 → 4.2 → 3.3 over [A]STA → [H]AAL → [A]S08, 11.6 in total, and joint top of the round this week. Leander Øy (4.5m, S08) is the value pick at 0.91 points per million, the best of any keeper. He projects 4.1 → 3.6 → 3.9 over [H]KBK → [A]H-K → [H]LIL for the same 11.6, at 0.3m less than Dahlberg.
Emil Ødegaard (4.6m, KFU) is third this week at 4.0 with a 33% clean-sheet chance, the best of the round, but KFUM go to Viking next and he drops to 2.5. Treat him as a one-gameweek option, not a buy.
Gameweek 25 defenders
Joachim Soltvedt (6.0m, BRA) is the defender to own. He projects 4.7 → 4.8 → 4.2 over [H]MOL → [A]FRE → [A]KFU, and his 13.7 over the three is the highest of any defender by 1.4 points. He is joint top of the position this week as well, with 0.23 expected assists against Molde, and Brann host Kristiansund BK in Gameweek 28, where he projects 5.9. 22.3% already own him.
Adrian Pereira (6.1m, RBK) is the way into Rosenborg's run: 4.0 → 4.2 → 4.1 over [A]FRE → [H]STA → [A]AAL, 12.3 in total, second among defenders. Pair him with Wahlstedt and the 1.00 expected clean sheets count twice. Owned by 20.6%.
Sondre Sørløkk (5.2m, FRE) is the hidden gem. He carries 0.20 expected goals this week, the most of any defender in the round, and projects 3.8 → 3.4 → 3.6 over [H]RBK → [H]BRA → [A]H-K for 10.8, level with Warneryd and ahead of Sjøvold over the three at a fraction of the ownership (6.6%). His points come from goal threat, not clean sheets, which is why a modest Fredrikstad program does not hurt him much.
Bjørn Inge Utvik (4.7m, S08) is the budget defender at 0.85 points per million, projected for 86 minutes. He projects 4.0 → 2.8 → 3.6 over [H]KBK → [A]H-K → [H]LIL, 10.4 over the three, and Sarpsborg 08's 31% clean-sheet chance against Kristiansund BK is the second-best of the round. 2.2% own him.
This is the position where the round and the program disagree most. Alexander Warneryd (6.4m, TRO), Håkon Hoseth (5.0m, KFU) and Sander Håvik Innvær (4.7m, TRO) are all in the top four defenders this week at 4.4 to 4.7, but all three fall to 2.0–2.8 in Gameweek 26, when Tromsø host Bodø/Glimt and KFUM go to Viking. If you are buying one defender and keeping him, buy Soltvedt, who matches the best of them this week and outscores all three by at least 2.9 points over the three gameweeks.
Martin Gjone (4.7m, H-K) is the reverse case: only 2.8 this week at [A]KFU, then 3.7 and 4.1 over [H]S08 → [H]FRE. He is a buy for next week, not this one.
Gameweek 25 midfielders
Amin Chiakha (8.1m, RBK) is the best player in the game over the next three gameweeks. He projects 6.2 → 6.6 → 6.4 over [A]FRE → [H]STA → [A]AAL, 19.2 in total, 2.3 points clear of anyone else. He is Rosenborg's penalty taker, carries 0.56 expected goals this week, the most of any player, and is projected for 81 minutes. 35.1% own him; if you do not, this is the transfer.
Ole Blomberg (9.9m, BOD) is the second premium. Bodø/Glimt's [H]VIK → [A]TRO → [A]MOL is the best attacking run in the game, and he projects 5.8 → 5.6 → 5.5, 16.9 in total, with 0.26 expected assists this week. That trajectory is as flat as they come, which makes him a buy you can hold without re-checking each week. He rises to 6.0 in Gameweek 28 at home to KFUM. Owned by 13.1%.
Sondre Sørli (6.5m, S08) is the value midfielder: 5.4 → 4.5 → 4.6 over [H]KBK → [A]H-K → [H]LIL, 14.5 over the three, at 0.83 points per million and 80 projected minutes. He is the third-highest projection in the game this week, and 5.3% own him.
Emil Konradsen Ceide (8.1m, RBK) gives a second share of Rosenborg's run at 4.7 → 5.1 → 4.9, 14.7 in total and rising into the Start home game. Evangelos Patoulidis (7.0m, SAN) is the differential: Sandefjord's penalty taker, 4.9 → 4.5 → 5.0 over [A]AAL → [H]MOL → [A]KBK for 14.4, at 4.0% ownership. Felix Va (6.2m, LIL) is the one whose best week is next: 4.6 → 5.6 → 4.0 over [A]STA → [H]AAL → [A]S08, with the Aalesund home game the joint third-highest projection of Gameweek 26.
Sondre Auklend (6.6m, BOD) is the cheap route into Bodø/Glimt: 5.0 → 3.8 → 4.5 over [H]VIK → [A]TRO → [A]MOL, 13.3 in total, with 81 projected minutes and 1.2% ownership. Sander Risan (4.3m, SAN) is the budget fifth midfielder, projected for 83 minutes: 3.4 → 3.1 → 3.6 over [A]AAL → [H]MOL → [A]KBK, 10.1 over the three. Bilal Njie (5.4m, KFU) has the best points per million of any midfielder this week at 0.85 (4.6 at home to Hamarkameratene), but drops to 2.9 at Viking, so he is a one-gameweek pick.
Gameweek 25 forwards
Ola Brynhildsen (9.4m, BOD) is the forward to buy and the differential of the round. He projects 5.1 → 3.6 → 4.3 over [H]VIK → [A]TRO → [A]MOL, and his 13.0 over the three is the highest of any forward. The predicted lineups have him leading Bodø/Glimt's line with 74 projected minutes and 0.43 expected goals this week, and only 1.7% of managers own him.
Daniel Seland Karlsbakk (8.7m, S08) is the other premium: Sarpsborg 08's penalty taker, 0.48 expected goals and 84 projected minutes at home to Kristiansund BK, and the top forward this week at 5.2. His run cools to 3.4 → 3.9 over [A]H-K → [H]LIL, 12.5 in total, so the Kristiansund BK game is the high point. Owned by 15.9%.
Peter Christiansen (10.7m, VIK) is a hold for the 37.0% who own him. He is only 3.1 at Bodø/Glimt this week, but 4.5 → 3.8 follow over [H]KFU → [A]TRO, and 5.4 at home to Vålerenga in Gameweek 28. The dip is one week long.
Leander Alvheim (6.7m, KBK) is the mid-price forward: Kristiansund BK's penalty taker, 3.2 → 3.7 → 3.6 over [A]S08 → [H]VIF → [H]KFU, 10.5 over the three with 80 projected minutes. He scores more in Gameweeks 26 and 27 than this week, which is the case for buying him now and holding. The budget end of the position is thin this gameweek, so spend in midfield instead.
Gameweek 25 captain picks
Amin Chiakha (8.1m, RBK) is the captain, at 6.2 projected points at Fredrikstad, 12.4 with the armband, and his program is [A]FRE → [H]STA → [A]AAL. He has the highest projection of the round, the penalties, and the highest expected goals of any player, and he leads Gameweeks 26 and 27 as well at 6.6 and 6.4. If you own him, the captaincy is settled for three weeks.
Ole Blomberg (5.8) is the alternative, and the one to pick if you want to back Bodø/Glimt's home game. Sondre Sørli (5.4), Daniel Seland Karlsbakk (5.2) and Jens Petter Hauge (10.4m, BOD, 5.2) follow, and none is close enough to Chiakha to be worth the risk. Looking further ahead, Zlatko Tripic (12.7m, VIK) takes over as the top projection in Gameweek 28 at 6.6, at home to Vålerenga.
Gameweek 25 Rich Uncle team
Rich Uncle is Eliteserien Fantasy's one-gameweek chip that lifts the price limit, so the best side for a single week is the highest-projected legal XI under the three-per-club rule. For Gameweek 25 it totals 55.8 projected points before the captain, in a 3-5-2:
- Goalkeeper: Pontus Dahlberg (LIL, 4.1)
- Defenders: Joachim Soltvedt (BRA, 4.7), Alexander Warneryd (TRO, 4.7), Håkon Hoseth (KFU, 4.5)
- Midfielders: Amin Chiakha (RBK, 6.2, captain), Ole Blomberg (BOD, 5.8), Sondre Sørli (S08, 5.4), Jens Petter Hauge (BOD, 5.2), Evangelos Patoulidis (SAN, 4.9)
- Forwards: Daniel Seland Karlsbakk (S08, 5.2), Ola Brynhildsen (BOD, 5.1)
Gameweek 25 is not the strongest week for the chip. Gameweek 28 has three home fixtures at 71% or better to win (Bodø/Glimt against KFUM, Brann against Kristiansund BK and Viking against Vålerenga), so if you still hold Rich Uncle, that is the week to plan around. For the exact optimum under your own squad rules, use the Eliteserien Fantasy optimal teams, which solve each gameweek live.
Who to sell before Gameweek 25
Andreas Helmersen (8.6m, BOD) is the clearest sale. 19.1% of managers own him, but the predicted lineups have him outside Bodø/Glimt's starting XI this week, at 13 projected minutes and 1.2 points, and he projects no more than 34 minutes in either of the next two gameweeks (2.8, then 2.3). The minutes problem starts now, so there is nothing to wait for: Brynhildsen is the forward leading Bodø/Glimt's line over [H]VIK → [A]TRO → [A]MOL and costs 0.8m more.
Leo Cornic (6.3m, BRA) is the same case at 25.2% ownership: 35 projected minutes and 1.6 → 1.6 → 1.5 over [H]MOL → [A]FRE → [A]KFU. Teammate Soltvedt is the top defender over the same three gameweeks at 0.3m less. Claus Niyukuri (5.1m, S08) (18.1% owned, 39 minutes, 2.1 → 1.9 → 2.2 over [H]KBK → [A]H-K → [H]LIL), Fredrik André Bjørkan (6.6m, BOD) (16.9%, 24 minutes, 1.2 → 2.1 → 1.6 over [H]VIK → [A]TRO → [A]MOL) and Henrik Udahl (5.1m, H-K) (16.3%, 21 minutes, 1.1 → 1.4 → 1.5 over [A]KFU → [H]S08 → [H]FRE) all have the same problem. None of them is expected to start this week, and the next two gameweeks do not fix it, so the move belongs in Gameweek 25.
Jakob Haugaard (5.1m, TRO) is the sell-into case. 31.3% own him, his program is [A]VIF → [H]BOD → [H]VIK, and [A]VIF is a decent fixture: a 28% clean-sheet chance and 3.5 projected points. But Tromsø host Bodø/Glimt and then Viking, and he falls to 2.6 and 2.8, 8.9 over the three. The reason to move this week rather than next is that Øy is 0.6m cheaper and outscores him already in Gameweek 25 (4.1), so the swap costs nothing now and is in place before the Bodø/Glimt game.
Alexander Warneryd (6.4m, TRO), owned by 29.3%, is the other side of the same program, and here you can wait a gameweek. He is joint top defender this week at 4.7, so keep him for [A]VIF and move him on before [H]BOD, when he drops to 2.8.
Zlatko Tripic (65.7% owned) and Viking's defenders Henrik Heggheim (34.7%) and Henrik Falchener (23.2%) are not sales. Gameweek 25 at Bodø/Glimt is their worst fixture of the next four, and Heggheim and Falchener fall below 2 points there, but [H]KFU and [A]TRO follow, and Tripic projects 5.7 and 4.9 in those two. Bench the defenders this week if you can, and keep the program.
