Super Manager Runde 14: captain picks and best buys
Super Manager Runde 14 preview: best buys, captain picks and who to sell
Super Manager Runde 14 opens on Friday 6 November with Silkeborg hosting Lyngby and closes on Sunday 8 November with FC Midtjylland against Sønderjyske. All twelve Superliga clubs play once, so there are no blanks. After this weekend the game pauses for almost two weeks, and Runde 15 only starts on Friday 20 November. That gap matters: whatever you buy now stays in your squad until at least the 20th, so the program behind this round counts for more than usual.
The short version: AGF and Nordsjælland own the best attacking programs over the next three rounds, and Viborg have the best defensive one. FC Midtjylland have the best fixture of the weekend, then go [A]BIF → [A]FCK. Lyngby's forwards get one excellent fixture and then a poor run. The template names are well known by now. This round is about the places after them: who to bring in before the AGF and Viborg runs, and which popular players to move on. Compare every option on the Super Manager player picks page.
Runde 14 programs: whose next three rounds are worth owning
The table ranks every club by expected goals over Runde 14-16, with this round's fixture shown first. The three right-hand columns are the reason to buy. The first four only tell you when the buy starts paying off.
| Team | Runde 14 fixture | Win probability | Expected goals | Clean sheet | Program (Runde 14-16) | 3-round xG | 3-round CS |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| AGF | [H]ACH | 56% | 1.97 | 32% | [H]ACH → [H]LYN → [A]SIF | 5.56 | 0.97 |
| Nordsjælland | [A]RAN | 53% | 1.84 | 32% | [A]RAN → [H]FCK → [A]OB | 5.33 | 0.92 |
| Viborg | [A]OB | 45% | 1.57 | 31% | [A]OB → [H]RAN → [A]LYN | 5.05 | 0.98 |
| Brøndby IF | [A]FCK | 32% | 1.34 | 21% | [A]FCK → [H]FCM → [A]SØN | 5.02 | 0.77 |
| FC Midtjylland | [H]SØN | 59% | 2.16 | 30% | [H]SØN → [A]BIF → [A]FCK | 4.76 | 0.63 |
| FC København | [H]BIF | 42% | 1.56 | 26% | [H]BIF → [A]FCN → [H]FCM | 4.60 | 0.72 |
| AC Horsens | [A]AGF | 21% | 1.13 | 14% | [A]AGF → [H]SIF → [A]RAN | 4.29 | 0.58 |
| Silkeborg | [H]LYN | 34% | 1.55 | 18% | [H]LYN → [A]ACH → [H]AGF | 4.14 | 0.56 |
| Sønderjyske | [A]FCM | 19% | 1.19 | 11% | [A]FCM → [H]OB → [H]BIF | 4.10 | 0.51 |
| Lyngby | [A]SIF | 41% | 1.72 | 21% | [A]SIF → [A]AGF → [H]VFF | 3.94 | 0.55 |
| Randers FC | [H]FCN | 23% | 1.14 | 16% | [H]FCN → [A]VFF → [H]ACH | 3.81 | 0.56 |
| OB | [H]VFF | 28% | 1.18 | 21% | [H]VFF → [A]SØN → [H]FCN | 3.72 | 0.56 |
AGF have the best three-round run in the game: [H]ACH → [H]LYN → [A]SIF, worth 5.56 expected goals. It starts this round with a 56% win chance at home to AC Horsens, so there is no reason to wait for it. Nordsjælland are close behind on [A]RAN → [H]FCK → [A]OB with 5.33 expected goals. The København home game in the middle is the only hard week, and Randers and OB away are both good fixtures. Viborg have the best defensive outlook: [A]OB → [H]RAN → [A]LYN adds up to 0.98 expected clean sheets, the highest of any club, and Runde 17 brings [H]SØN as well.
The club to plan around is FC Midtjylland. They host Sønderjyske this round with a 59% win chance and 2.16 expected goals, the best single numbers of the weekend. Then come [A]BIF and [A]FCK, and their 3-round clean-sheet total drops to 0.63. Their players are worth keeping for Sønderjyske. They are not worth buying now. Lyngby are the other one-round team: [A]SIF projects well, but [A]AGF → [H]VFF follows and Lyngby rank tenth on three-round goals. Check the full Super Manager fixture schedule before you plan the moves after the break.
Best goalkeepers for Runde 14
Kasper Kiilerich (3.8m, VFF) is the keeper to own for the run-in. His program is [A]OB → [H]RAN → [A]LYN → [H]SØN. He projects 65k → 70k → 67k → 70k, and no other keeper has a flatter, higher line. That adds up to 201k over three rounds, the best of any goalkeeper, at 17.2k per million. One in five managers already has him. If you do not, he is the cleanest goalkeeper buy in the game.
Andreas Hansen (5.4m, FCN) tops this round at 71k on [A]RAN → [H]FCK → [A]OB, and his line runs 71k → 57k → 72k → 78k. He is level with Kiilerich over three rounds (200k) but costs 1.6m more. Hold him if you have him; buy Kiilerich if you have neither. Jesper Hansen (5.2m, AGF) is the differential. Only 1.9% own him, and AGF's [H]ACH → [H]LYN → [A]SIF gives him 63k → 66k → 53k, 182k in total. That is more than Diant Ramaj or Patrick Pentz over the same three rounds.
Patrick Pentz is the keeper whose line rises late. His Brøndby side visit FC København this round, and he projects only 50k. Then [H]FCM → [A]SØN → [H]OB lifts him to 60k, 70k and 75k. He is a hold, not a sell.
Best defenders for Runde 14
Runar Robinsønn Norheim (4.6m, FCN) is still the best defender in the game by a distance. On [A]RAN → [H]FCK → [A]OB → [H]LYN he projects 91k → 72k → 91k → 106k. That is 253k over three rounds, 73k more than the next defender. He scores from both ends: 0.18 expected goals and 0.15 expected assists this round. 40.5% own him, and he belongs in every squad that can fit him.
Two cheaper Nordsjælland and Viborg defenders give you the same programs for less money. Juho Laehteenmaeki (3.5m, FCN) runs 64k → 47k → 62k → 71k on the same Nordsjælland program, 173k over three rounds. Oliver Bundgaard Kristensen (2.6m, VFF) is the best-value program defender at 21.4k per million this round. His Viborg line on [A]OB → [H]RAN → [A]LYN is 57k → 63k → 57k, flat and high, and he plays 81 minutes. Pair him with Kiilerich and you collect the same Viborg clean sheet twice. Hjalte Bidstrup (2.7m, VFF) is the low-ownership version of the same idea at 2.3%: 50k → 54k → 49k, 153k in total.
Jens Martin Gammelby (3.8m, SIF) is the hidden gem. He is Silkeborg's penalty taker, which explains his 0.14 expected goals, high for a defender. His program is [H]LYN → [A]ACH → [H]AGF and his line is 56k → 63k → 53k, 172k over three rounds. Only 4.7% own him.
Marko Divkovic (4.7m, BIF) is the defender whose case starts next round. He projects 45k at FC København this weekend. Then [H]FCM → [A]SØN → [H]OB takes him to 60k, 75k and 77k, the second-best three-round total among defenders (180k). He is worth bringing in for Runde 15. His Runde 14 fixture is too tough to justify buying him now, and the two-week break means you lose nothing by waiting.
For a one-round rotation, Renzo Tytens (2.3m, LYN) projects 51k at Silkeborg on [A]SIF → [A]AGF → [H]VFF. That is 22.7k per million this round, the best of any defender, and the fee is about 23k. His next two rounds drop to 20k and 26k, so he is a buy for this round and a sale in Runde 15.
Best midfielders for Runde 14
Kristian Arnstad (7.2m, AGF) is the midfielder to buy. He takes AGF's penalties, and AGF have the best program in the game: [H]ACH → [H]LYN → [A]SIF → [H]RAN. His line runs 79k → 70k → 69k → 66k, 217k over three rounds, the most of any midfielder. Only 9.0% own him. For the price of a premium, you get a steady return every week rather than one big score.
Mohamed Elyounoussi (8.7m, FCK) is the template hold at 55.6% ownership. His program is [H]BIF → [A]FCN → [H]FCM → [A]ACH and his line 71k → 56k → 85k → 96k, so his best two rounds are still ahead. He is also København's penalty taker. Keep him.
The two AGF alternatives below Arnstad both carry the same [H]ACH → [H]LYN → [A]SIF program. Callum McCowatt (5.7m, AGF) projects 72k → 80k → 55k → 73k, 207k over three rounds at only 4.8% ownership. That makes him the best differential in midfield. Frederik Emmery (4.2m, AGF) is the cheaper way in at 62k → 70k → 53k, with 0.20 expected assists this round. With up to four players allowed from one club, Arnstad, McCowatt and an AGF keeper or forward can sit together.
Ibrahim Adel (5.1m, FCN) is the Nordsjælland midfielder to own. On [A]RAN → [H]FCK → [A]OB → [H]LYN he projects 75k → 59k → 68k → 83k, and he starts (a 0.89 starter factor). Among the cheaper midfielders, Mads Søndergaard (3.9m, VFF) and Asker Beck (3.9m, VFF) are both nailed on the Viborg program [A]OB → [H]RAN → [A]LYN. Søndergaard runs 58k → 65k → 59k and Beck 57k → 63k → 58k, and both pick up a fourth good fixture in [H]SØN.
The rankings disagree in midfield. Simon Colyn (3.5m, LYN) is the top midfielder this round at 81k on [A]SIF, and he returns 22.9k per million. Then [A]AGF → [H]VFF drops him to 34k and 38k, so Arnstad has 65k more over three rounds. If you are buying one midfielder to keep, buy Arnstad. Colyn is a one-round buy whose fee is about 35k, and he is the sale in Runde 15.
One more name for next round: Marcus Younis (3.6m, BIF) projects 41k at FC København, then 68k → 70k → 86k on [H]FCM → [A]SØN → [H]OB. Like Divkovic, he is a Runde 15 buy, not a Runde 14 one.
Best forwards for Runde 14
Alexander Lind (6.8m, FCN) is the forward to own. On [A]RAN → [H]FCK → [A]OB → [H]LYN he projects 93k → 64k → 85k → 88k, which is 243k over three rounds, the most of any forward and second only to Norheim in the whole game. He has 0.36 expected goals this round. 24.6% own him; if you are not one of them, this is the round to buy, because his best three-round window starts now.
Dorian Hanza (5.1m, VFF) is the steadiest forward. On [A]OB → [H]RAN → [A]LYN → [H]SØN he goes 75k → 84k → 75k → 86k, 234k over three rounds. His teammate Charly Horneman (4.4m, VFF) is the hidden gem up front. He plays 76 minutes, adds 0.17 expected assists to 0.23 expected goals, and runs 71k → 76k → 69k → 79k. That is 216k over three rounds at only 8.1% ownership. Tobias Bech (7.9m, AGF) is the premium AGF route: 75k → 81k → 61k → 77k on [H]ACH → [H]LYN → [A]SIF → [H]RAN.
Here too the round and the program point different ways. Frederik Gytkjær (4.4m, LYN) is the highest-projected player of Runde 14 at 105k on [A]SIF → [A]AGF → [H]VFF, with 0.44 expected goals and a full 90 minutes. At 23.8k per million only Lucas Riisgaard returns more per million this round. After Silkeborg he falls to 47k and 48k. Over three rounds Lind beats him by 44k. Gytkjær is a one-round buy with a 44k fee: take him in this round, and sell him in Runde 15.
Runde 14 captain picks
The captain scores double in Super Manager, and the top of this round is tight. Frederik Gytkjær (4.4m, LYN) is the model's number one at 105k on [A]SIF → [A]AGF → [H]VFF, which makes him a 210k captain this round, and a one-round captain only. Only 3.1% own him, so he is also the captain that gains you the most rank if he scores. Friday Etim (6.6m, FCM) is the safer choice at 95k on [H]SØN → [A]BIF → [A]FCK, and more than half of all managers already have him. Alexander Lind (6.8m, FCN) at 93k on [A]RAN → [H]FCK → [A]OB is a close third and the captain you keep using later, and Norheim at 91k is the defender option.
Look ahead before you pick. In Runde 15 the top options are Janni Serra (85k, but a rotation risk at about 45 minutes), Hanza (84k) and Bech (81k), all on the AGF and Viborg programs. Runde 16 swings back to Norheim (91k), Lind (85k) and Elyounoussi (85k), and in Runde 17 Norheim (106k) and Elyounoussi (96k) lead. Owning Lind and Norheim covers the captaincy for three of the next four rounds. That is a stronger reason to own Lind than his Runde 14 score. For a fuller method, see our guide on how to pick a fantasy captain.
Who to sell before Runde 14
Elias Olafsson (5.6m, FCM) is the clearest sale. 17.2% still own him, but Nordin Bakker is in goal and Olafsson projects 2k → 3k → 6k → 15k on [H]SØN → [A]BIF → [A]FCK → [H]SIF. Why now: there is no round in the program where he plays, and Kiilerich costs less and projects 65k this round alone.
Rasmus Kristensen (5.8m, FCM) is the sale that pays for itself. He projects a decent 62k at home to Sønderjyske, but then 29k and 30k on [A]BIF → [A]FCK. Why now: Laehteenmaeki matches him this round already (64k) for 2.3m less and has 47k → 62k behind it. Waiting a round gains you nothing, while switching now frees money and wins you the two rounds after the break.
Prince Junior (5.2m, FCN) projects only 19 minutes this round, and his line is 26k → 27k → 52k → 63k. Why now: the switch to Ibrahim Adel is almost price-neutral (5.1m), and Adel out-projects him in every round of the same Nordsjælland program. Robert (6.4m, FCK) is the same story at 25.4% ownership: a 42-minute projection and 41k → 35k → 51k on [H]BIF → [A]FCN → [H]FCM. McCowatt costs less and projects 72k → 80k → 55k. The switch wins you points in each of the next three rounds.
Friday Etim (6.6m, FCM) is a sale to plan, not to make. [H]SØN is a very good fixture and 95k is the second-best score in the game, so keep him for it. After that comes [A]BIF → [A]FCK, and he drops to 48k and 47k before [H]SIF brings him back to 85k. You can wait a round on this one. Sell him for Runde 15, when Hanza and Horneman have better programs. Olti Hyseni, owned by 26.5%, is a hold: his line climbs from 41k to 53k and 72k as Brøndby's run improves.

Callum McCowatt (5.7m, AGF, 4.8% owned) projects 207k over the next three rounds on [H]ACH → [H]LYN → [A]SIF. Jens Martin Gammelby (3.8m, SIF, 4.7%) and Jesper Hansen (5.2m, AGF, 1.9%) are the defensive differentials, and Charly Horneman (4.4m, VFF, 8.1%) is the forward.
Should I sell Friday Etim before Super Manager Runde 14?
No, keep Etim for Runde 14. He projects 95k at home to Sønderjyske, the second-best score in the game. Sell him for Runde 15 instead, because FC Midtjylland's next two fixtures are [A]BIF and [A]FCK, where he drops to 48k and 47k.
