Gameweek 2 - Fantasy Premier League winner
Gameweek 2
After a huge Gameweek 1, I can't really complain with how it is going.
I was heading into a week with a slight benching headache. Was ready to start Ndiaye, but now with him rumored or set to go to City, he will be benched.
I really wanted to start De Cuyper, but with Brighton vs Chelsea, I just don't see the clean sheet happening. Considering more and more to keep De Cuyper in a wildcard 3.
Wildcard 3 also is looking more and more likely with Ndiaye gone and Sunderland schedule not looking great. Also want to free some money out of the triple United.
Player and team thoughts
Lot's of players caught my eye from the first Gameweek. A player that I really wanted to get but will wait for WC3 is Sangare. Think everyone was convinced by him and he easily looks like last seasons Elliot Anderson, just now for 5.5 million. Love it.
Palmer almost seems a lock for me now. Will look to Wildcard tonight to also catch the price rise from Palmer. Joao pedro too. They are almost season keepers.
Tottenham actually looked really really poor, and Brentford looked amazing. My interest in Thiago is actually quite low. I would be closer to going towards Schade or Dango if I went for a second Brentford midfield. Otherwise Ajer or Kayode are easily season keepers.
Szobo over Wirtz long term just makes the most sense i think. Especially if he is on pens, but we will need to see how locked he is long term with that.
Wissa for Newcastle could be a lovely catch. Thinking it could be a great 6 million option, though Barry from Everton I am really interested, especially after Ndiaye leaving. Dewbury-Hall stock could also be very high depending on who takes over on pens.
I am looking at how Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal, City develop specifically. Esepcially keen on Tottenham, Chelsea and Everton players this season as all three of these teams have no European games, so the player's are lovely for FPL this season.
Gameweek 2 Team
Very straight forward.
Bruno Captain
Start all 3 Arsenal, 3 United, 2 Sunderland, 2 Liverpool + Joao Pedro.
Brobbey benched over Enzo Le Fee, as I value the pen share from Le Fee.
All have good games, and I feel this week picks itself. I really wanted to start De Cuyper, but I am now at least much closer to potentially keeping him in my team for the wildcard.
Boring but safe this week.
