Eliteserien Fantasy Gameweek 26: captains and best buys
Eliteserien Fantasy Gameweek 26 tips: best buys, captain picks and differentials
Eliteserien Fantasy Gameweek 26 opens the last five gameweeks of the season (Gameweek 26 to Gameweek 30), so every transfer you make now has to earn its place over a run that is already short. The deadline is Saturday 7 November at 15:55 UTC. Three things decide this gameweek: Viking have the best three-gameweek program in the league, the model has Zlatko Tripic at zero minutes against KFUM, and Bodø/Glimt carry the best run of all through to the final day. Below we cover who to buy, who to captain, the differentials worth a transfer and who to sell before the deadline, all built on our model's projected points (xP) for Gameweek 26 to Gameweek 30.
Every number here comes from our live model. You can sort the full pool on the Eliteserien Fantasy player picks page, and last week's thinking is still in our Eliteserien Fantasy Gameweek 25 preview.
Gameweek 26 to 28 programs: whose next three gameweeks are worth owning
Viking have the best three-gameweek run in the game: [H]KFU → [A]TRO → [H]VIF adds up to 7.00 expected goals and 0.95 expected clean sheets. KFUM at home carries the best clean sheet chance of Gameweek 26 (36%, with a 64% win probability), and the Vålerenga home game in Gameweek 28 is even better on win probability (77%). The trip to Tromsø in between is the week to plan around, not a reason to avoid them.
Bodø/Glimt are a close second over three (6.81 xG) and clearly first over all five remaining gameweeks: [A]TRO → [A]MOL → [H]KFU → [A]AAL → [H]S08 adds up to 13.12 expected goals, against 11.77 for Viking. Their last two fixtures carry 78% and 80% win probabilities. That makes Bodø/Glimt the long hold for the final stretch: the two away games now are the price of entry.
Brann ([A]FRE → [A]KFU → [H]KBK, 6.26 xG, 0.86 CS) and Lillestrøm ([H]AAL → [A]S08 → [H]H-K, 5.82 xG, 0.88 CS) round out the attacking targets. Lillestrøm have the highest win probability of the gameweek (65% against Aalesund), but Sarpsborg away follows. Rosenborg are the clean-sheet "sell into" team: [H]STA and [A]AAL give 34% and 36% clean sheet chances back to back, then [H]MOL drops to 17%. Hamarkameratene have a similar shape: two home games ([H]S08 → [H]FRE), then [A]LIL and a final-day trip to Viking.
| Team | Gameweek 26 | Win probability | Expected goals | Clean sheet | Program GW26-28 | 3-gameweek xG | 3-gameweek CS |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Viking | [H]KFU | 64% | 2.24 | 36% | [H]KFU → [A]TRO → [H]VIF | 7.00 | 0.95 |
| Bodø/Glimt | [A]TRO | 51% | 2.03 | 25% | [A]TRO → [A]MOL → [H]KFU | 6.81 | 0.80 |
| Brann | [A]FRE | 50% | 1.95 | 26% | [A]FRE → [A]KFU → [H]KBK | 6.26 | 0.86 |
| Lillestrøm | [H]AAL | 65% | 2.33 | 35% | [H]AAL → [A]S08 → [H]H-K | 5.82 | 0.88 |
| Rosenborg | [H]STA | 53% | 1.80 | 34% | [H]STA → [A]AAL → [H]MOL | 5.27 | 0.86 |
| Sandefjord | [H]MOL | 36% | 1.77 | 15% | [H]MOL → [A]KBK → [H]TRO | 5.38 | 0.61 |
Teams to avoid over the next three: Aalesund (3.32 xG, 0.39 expected clean sheets), KFUM (3.39 xG, with Viking and Bodø/Glimt both away) and Kristiansund BK (0.39 expected clean sheets, Brann away in Gameweek 28). All 16 clubs play once in each of Gameweek 26, 27 and 28: there are no blanks or doubles in the window. Kick-off times are on the Eliteserien Fantasy schedule.
Best goalkeepers for Gameweek 26
Marcus Sandberg (5.0m, H-K) is the best goalkeeper of the gameweek and the best over three. His program is [H]S08 → [H]FRE → [A]LIL, with two home games first, and he projects 4.2 → 4.2 → 3.4 for 11.8 xP over three. That is the most of any keeper. Only 4.0% of managers own him. The Lillestrøm trip in Gameweek 28 is the weaker week, and the Viking away game on the final day is one to bench him for.
Leopold Wahlstedt (5.2m, RBK) is the steadier hold. Rosenborg's [H]STA → [A]AAL → [H]MOL gives 3.8 → 3.9 → 3.2, and he finishes with [A]VIF → [H]KFU, so there is no bad week left on his run. If you want one keeper for the last five gameweeks, he is that keeper.
Popular Nikita Haikin (22.8% owned) is a fine hold at 3.6 → 3.0 → 3.6 on Bodø/Glimt's run. His last two (Aalesund away, Sarpsborg at home) are two of the best clean-sheet fixtures left, so there is no reason to move him. One note for Lillestrøm owners: the model has Pontus Dahlberg out again for Gameweek 26, with Stefan Hagerup in goal for the Aalesund game only.
Best defenders for Gameweek 26
This is the position where the one-gameweek ranking and the three-gameweek ranking disagree most. Aslak Fonn Witry and Martin Gjone share the top Gameweek 26 projection (4.1), but over three gameweeks Daniel Eid and Joachim Soltvedt come out ahead. If you are buying one defender and keeping him, buy for the program.
Daniel Eid (5.6m, FRE) has the best three-gameweek total of any defender: 3.2 → 3.7 → 5.5, 12.4 xP over [H]BRA → [A]H-K → [H]AAL. His 5.5 against Aalesund in Gameweek 28 is the highest projection of any defender that week, and at 85 projected minutes he is nailed on. Only 5.9% own him, so he is the differential defender for the run.
| Player | Team | Price | Owned | xP GW26 → GW27 → GW28 | 3-gameweek xP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Daniel Eid | FRE | 5.6m | 5.9% | 3.2 → 3.7 → 5.5 | 12.4 |
| Joachim Soltvedt | BRA | 5.9m | 21.6% | 3.6 → 3.6 → 5.0 | 12.2 |
| Fredrik Sjøvold | BOD | 7.8m | 37.6% | 3.7 → 3.1 → 4.7 | 11.5 |
| Aslak Fonn Witry | RBK | 5.4m | 3.0% | 4.1 → 4.1 → 2.6 | 10.8 |
| Martin Gjone | H-K | 4.7m | 4.9% | 4.1 → 4.1 → 2.2 | 10.4 |
| Mikkel Konradsen Ceide | RBK | 4.5m | 5.9% | 3.6 → 3.6 → 2.0 | 9.2 |
Joachim Soltvedt (5.9m, BRA) is close behind (3.6 → 3.6 → 5.0) on Brann's [A]FRE → [A]KFU → [H]KBK, and his final day at home to Aalesund also projects 5.0. The risk is minutes: the model has him at 60 projected minutes, so owners already have the upside and new buyers should prefer Eid. Fredrik Sjøvold (7.8m, BOD) is the premium hold. His program is [A]TRO → [A]MOL → [H]KFU, and he goes 3.7 → 3.1 → 4.7 → 4.5 → 4.6 over the five, so the run gets better after the two away games.
Aslak Fonn Witry (5.4m, RBK) is the two-gameweek pick. Rosenborg's [H]STA → [A]AAL gives him 4.1 → 4.1 → 2.6, the Molde game in Gameweek 28 is where it drops, and at 3.0% owned he is a strong short-term differential. Martin Gjone (4.7m, H-K) has the same shape and is the budget version: [H]S08 → [H]FRE at 4.1 and 4.1, then [A]LIL at 2.2. At 0.87 points per million he has the best value of any defender in Gameweek 26. Mikkel Konradsen Ceide (4.5m, RBK) is the other cheap Rosenborg option on [H]STA → [A]AAL → [H]MOL (3.6 → 3.6 → 2.0).
Best midfielders for Gameweek 26
Ole Blomberg (9.9m, BOD) is the best buy in the game for the final stretch. His projection rises every week: 5.5 → 5.7 → 6.3 → 7.0 → 6.9 over [A]TRO → [A]MOL → [H]KFU → [A]AAL → [H]S08, which is 31.4 xP over five gameweeks and the most of any player. He shares the second-highest Gameweek 26 projection (5.5, with 0.37 projected goals) and has the highest of anyone in Gameweek 27. Only 12.5% own him. This gameweek is the time to buy, because the run gets better from here.
Niklas Castro (7.4m, BRA) is the differential. Brann's penalty taker shares the second-best Gameweek 26 projection with Blomberg (5.5) on [A]FRE → [A]KFU → [H]KBK. He goes 5.5 → 3.9 → 5.9, the third-best three-gameweek total in the game, and only 1.3% of managers own him. The KFUM away game is the dip, and the Kristiansund home game in Gameweek 28 projects 5.9.
| Player | Team | Price | Owned | xP GW26 → GW27 → GW28 | 3-gameweek xP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ole Blomberg | BOD | 9.9m | 12.5% | 5.5 → 5.7 → 6.3 | 17.5 |
| Niklas Castro | BRA | 7.4m | 1.3% | 5.5 → 3.9 → 5.9 | 15.3 |
| Emil Konradsen Ceide | RBK | 8.2m | 19.3% | 5.4 → 5.1 → 4.5 | 15.0 |
| Amin Chiakha | RBK | 8.1m | 35.9% | 5.1 → 5.1 → 4.3 | 14.5 |
| Evangelos Patoulidis | SAN | 7.0m | 4.0% | 4.5 → 5.2 → 4.5 | 14.2 |
| Felix Va | LIL | 6.3m | 18.9% | 4.8 → 4.0 → 4.8 | 13.6 |
| Ole Kristian Selnæs | RBK | 4.9m | 1.2% | 3.4 → 3.3 → 3.1 | 9.8 |
The Rosenborg pair are the template mids. Emil Konradsen Ceide (8.2m, RBK) (5.4 → 5.1 → 4.5) and Amin Chiakha (8.1m, RBK) (5.1 → 5.1 → 4.3) both peak on [H]STA → [A]AAL and drop for [H]MOL in Gameweek 28. Chiakha is Rosenborg's penalty taker and has 0.45 projected goals in Gameweek 26. Ceide has the better three-gameweek total and is less than half as owned (19.3% against 35.9%).
Evangelos Patoulidis (7.0m, SAN) is the second differential. Sandefjord's penalty taker goes 4.5 → 5.2 → 4.5 on [H]MOL → [A]KBK → [H]TRO, and 5.2 against Kristiansund is the second-highest projection of anyone in Gameweek 27. He finishes at home to Vålerenga (5.1). Felix Va (6.3m, LIL) (4.8 → 4.0 → 4.8) is a decent cheaper option on Lillestrøm's [H]AAL → [A]S08 → [H]H-K. Budget pick: Ole Kristian Selnæs (4.9m, RBK) is flat at 3.4 → 3.3 → 3.1 → 3.3 → 3.5 across [H]STA → [A]AAL → [H]MOL → [A]VIF → [H]KFU, a filler you can buy once and stop thinking about. Sander Svendsen (5.4m, KBK) projects 4.1 for [H]VIF at 5.4m, but [H]SAN → [A]BRA follow at 2.6 and 2.3, so treat him as a one-gameweek buy only.
Zlatko Tripic is the big decision for 65.2% of managers. The model has him at zero minutes for [H]KFU, but his program after that is [A]TRO → [H]VIF → [A]MOL → [H]H-K at 0.0 → 4.9 → 6.8 → 5.6 → 6.7, and his 6.8 in Gameweek 28 is the highest projection of any player that week. Do not sell him. Bench him for Gameweek 26 and he walks back into your side for the run that matters.
Best forwards for Gameweek 26
Peter Christiansen (10.7m, VIK) is the best player in the game this gameweek and over three. He projects 6.7 against KFUM (0.57 projected goals) and goes 6.7 → 4.9 → 6.5 over [H]KFU → [A]TRO → [H]VIF, which is 18.1 xP and the top three-gameweek total in Eliteserien Fantasy. 37.6% own him. If you do not, he is the first buy of the gameweek.
Erik Botheim (9.8m, VIK) is the low-owned way into Viking's attack. He is on Viking's penalties and goes 4.6 → 3.5 → 4.5 on the same [H]KFU → [A]TRO → [H]VIF, owned by only 2.6%. The catch is the three-per-club limit: a manager who already has Tripic, Christiansen and a Viking defender cannot add him. Ola Brynhildsen (9.3m, BOD) (0.9% owned) is the Bodø/Glimt forward to target. He goes 3.3 → 4.3 → 4.6 → 4.2 → 4.2 over [A]TRO → [A]MOL → [H]KFU → [A]AAL → [H]S08, rising after Gameweek 26, so you can buy him now or in Gameweek 27. The catch is his 53 projected minutes.
On a budget, Henrik Langaas Skogvold (6.7m, FRE) (3.4 → 3.5 → 4.6) has [H]BRA → [A]H-K → [H]AAL, with the Aalesund game the week to target, and is projected for 77 minutes. Mathias Grundetjern (7.5m, VIF) (4.5 → 4.0 → 2.5) is a two-gameweek play on [A]KBK → [H]STA. The Viking away game in Gameweek 28 is the week to have him out, so plan to sell him again before Gameweek 28. Compare minutes for every forward on the Eliteserien Fantasy predicted lineups before you commit.
Best captain picks for Eliteserien Fantasy Gameweek 26
The captain scores double. Peter Christiansen is the clear number one: 6.7 xP at home to KFUM, 1.2 points clear of anyone else, on the fixture with the best clean-sheet and win numbers of the gameweek for his side. Ole Blomberg (5.5 at Tromsø) and Niklas Castro (5.5 at Fredrikstad) are the alternatives, followed by Emil Konradsen Ceide (5.4). Blomberg is the vice-captain pick.
Plan the next two armbands too. In Gameweek 27, Blomberg (5.7 at Molde) is the top projection in the game. In Gameweek 28, Tripic (6.8 against Vålerenga) and Christiansen (6.5) lead. So Christiansen, Tripic and Blomberg cover the captaincy for the next three gameweeks, which is the strongest argument for owning Blomberg. The bookmaker-based numbers behind each fixture are on the Eliteserien Fantasy market probabilities page.
Who to sell before Gameweek 26
Emil Breivik (7.8m, MOL) (51.3% owned) is the sell for anyone who needs a slot. [A]SAN is a decent fixture and his 4.6 is a respectable score, so this is not a bad week for him. But [H]BOD follows and he drops to 3.4, and his three-gameweek total of 12.1 is well below Castro's 15.3. Castro is also the cheaper player and projects higher in Gameweek 26, so the swap gains points this week as well. That is why it should happen now rather than next week.
Jakob Haugaard (5.0m, TRO) (30.9% owned) faces [H]BOD → [H]VIK, the two hardest fixtures a keeper can have back to back, and projects 2.6 → 3.0 → 3.3. His good week ([H]STA, 4.5) is not until Gameweek 29. With five gameweeks left, two weak weeks is too long to wait. Sandberg out-projects him by 1.6 points this gameweek and 1.2 points next.
Three popular picks are a minutes problem rather than a fixture problem. Kristian Hemmingsen Lonebu (6.7m, MOL) (25.9%) is projected for only 35 minutes and goes 2.0 → 1.6 → 2.4 over [A]SAN → [H]BOD → [A]RBK. The Bodø/Glimt game in Gameweek 27 is his lowest point, so sell before it. Adrian Pereira (6.2m, RBK) (21.6%) is projected for 14 minutes in Rosenborg's [H]STA → [A]AAL, their two best clean-sheet weeks of the run. Moving him to Witry captures those weeks now, which is the whole reason to act this gameweek. Leo Cornic (6.3m, BRA) (25.1%) is at 41 projected minutes and 1.9 → 1.7 → 2.2 over [A]FRE → [A]KFU → [H]KBK. Brann's run is good, but he is not projected to play enough of it. Sell him now and bring in Eid.
You can wait a gameweek on Andreas Helmersen. Tromsø away (3.4) is a fine fixture, and while he dips to 2.4 and 2.5 in Gameweeks 27 and 28, his final two (Aalesund, Sarpsborg) project 4.5 and 4.7. The 45 projected minutes are the real concern. Check the lineups closer to Gameweek 27 before you move.
Best Rich Uncle team for Gameweek 26
If you are playing Rich Uncle this gameweek, the highest-projected legal squad (max three per club) is built around Viking and Rosenborg in a 3-5-2:
- GK: Marcus Sandberg (H-K, 4.2). Bench: Stefan Hagerup (LIL, 4.1)
- DEF: Aslak Fonn Witry (RBK, 4.1), Martin Gjone (H-K, 4.1), Henrik Heggheim (VIK, 3.9). Bench: Fredrik Sjøvold (BOD, 3.7), Lars Mogstad Ranger (LIL, 3.7)
- MID: Ole Blomberg (BOD, 5.5), Niklas Castro (BRA, 5.5), Emil Konradsen Ceide (RBK, 5.4), Amin Chiakha (RBK, 5.1), Felix Va (LIL, 4.8)

That starting XI projects 60.6 points including the captain's double. The exact live optimum for every chip is on the Eliteserien Fantasy optimal teams page.

No. Our model has Zlatko Tripic at zero minutes against KFUM in Gameweek 26, but he returns for Tromsø, Vålerenga, Molde and Hamarkameratene, and his 6.8 projection in Gameweek 28 is the highest of any player that week. Bench him for one gameweek rather than paying for a transfer out and back.
Best differentials for Eliteserien Fantasy Gameweek 26?

Should I sell Emil Breivik before Gameweek 26?
Yes, if you need the slot. Emil Breivik has a fair 4.6 at Sandefjord, but Bodø/Glimt at home follows and he totals 12.1 over three gameweeks. Niklas Castro is cheaper, totals 15.3 and out-projects him in Gameweek 26 as well.
