Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 28: best buys and captains
Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 28 preview: captain picks, best buys and who to sell
Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 28 is the third-last gameweek of the season. It starts on Friday 6 November with Hammarby against Elfsborg and runs to Sunday 8 November. Gameweek 29 follows two weeks later, from 21 to 23 November. Gameweek 30, the final one, is played on 29 November. So the horizon for every transfer you make now is the rest of the season, three gameweeks and no more. Every pick below is ranked on those three gameweeks together. Gameweek 28 is where you make the move, and the last three fixtures are the reason for it.
The short version: Hammarby have the best run-in by a distance. Djurgården and Sirius have the best attacking runs after them. Häcken and Västerås SK have a decent Gameweek 28 and then a hard finish, so their players are ones to sell after this week, not buy now. The full player numbers are on our Allsvenskan Fantasy player picks page, and last week's view is in the Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 27 preview.
The programs: who to own for the last three Gameweeks
Every club plays once in each of Gameweeks 28, 29 and 30, so there are no blanks or doubles left to plan around. That keeps the comparison clean: the three-gameweek totals below compare like with like.
Hammarby are the team to own. [H]ELF → [H]IFK → [A]VÄS gives them 6.41 expected goals and 1.16 expected clean sheets, the most of any club on both counts. Their win probability goes from 59% to 70% and then 62%, so none of the three is a weak week. Elfsborg at home is the hardest of them, and it is still a 34% clean sheet chance. That counts as a good fixture, not one to plan around.
Djurgården are the second attacking target. [A]HBK → [A]SIR → [H]BKH is worth 5.99 expected goals. Halmstads BK away is a 59% win chance, and the home game against Häcken in Gameweek 30 has 2.33 expected goals, the highest attacking number of the final gameweek. The trip to Sirius in Gameweek 29 is the one weak week, at 30%. Two good fixtures out of three still earns a buy for their attackers. Their defenders are a different case: 0.70 expected clean sheets is only the tenth-best total in the league.
Sirius have three decent fixtures rather than one great one. [A]KFF → [H]DIF → [A]IFK comes to 5.79 expected goals, with win chances of 53%, 47% and 51%. That kind of even run is the safest program to hold through to the end of the season.
Elfsborg are the split program. [A]HIF → [A]BKH → [H]GAI starts with a 19% win chance at Hammarby, then has the best fixture of Gameweek 29: 74% at Häcken with a 45% clean sheet chance. Elfsborg assets you already own are worth holding through this week. New ones are a buy before Gameweek 29, not now. GAIS are the quiet defensive option, with 1.05 expected clean sheets over [A]DEG → [H]VÄS → [A]ELF and a 45% clean sheet chance at home to Västerås in Gameweek 29.
The sell-into programs are Häcken and Västerås SK. Häcken's trip to AIK is a 68% win chance with 2.40 expected goals, the best attacking fixture of Gameweek 28. Their win chance then drops to 9% at home to Elfsborg and 23% at Djurgården. Västerås away at Örgryte is a fair fixture, at 47% with a 27% clean sheet chance. After that, [A]ÖIS → [A]GAI → [H]HIF drops them to 18% and 16%. In both cases, play your players this week and plan to move them before Gameweek 29. The runs to avoid entirely are Halmstads BK (3.14 expected goals, the fewest) and IFK Göteborg (0.48 expected clean sheets, the fewest). The fixture dates are on the Allsvenskan Fantasy schedule, and the bookmaker numbers behind these figures are on the market probabilities page.

Win probability, expected goals and clean sheet are for Gameweek 28. The last three columns cover Gameweeks 28 to 30 together. The 3-GW CS figure is the expected number of clean sheets from three games, not a percentage. Codes: HIF Hammarby, DIF Djurgården, SIR Sirius, ELF Elfsborg, MFF Malmö FF, BKH Häcken, MJA Mjällby, GAI GAIS, BRO Brommapojkarna, KFF Kalmar FF, DEG Degerfors, ÖIS Örgryte, AIK AIK, VÄS Västerås SK, IFK IFK Göteborg, HBK Halmstads BK.
Gameweek 28 goalkeepers
Warner Hahn (6.0m, HIF) is the goalkeeper to own for the run-in. Hammarby's [H]ELF → [H]IFK → [A]VÄS gives him 4.5 → 4.8 → 4.6 expected points, and his 13.9 over the three gameweeks is the most of any keeper. His clean sheet chance never drops below 34%, and it peaks at 44% against IFK Göteborg in Gameweek 29. He is 25.1% owned, so he protects your rank more than he gains you ground.
David Celic (5.2m, SIR) is the cheaper route into a good run. Sirius's [A]KFF → [H]DIF → [A]IFK gives him 4.3 → 3.9 → 4.4, a total of 12.6, and only 8.8% of managers have him. Matvei Igonen (4.5m, DEG) is the budget pick. Degerfors' [H]GAI → [A]AIK → [H]ÖIS gets better each week, and his projection rises with it: 3.8 → 4.0 → 4.5. His 12.3 is just 0.3 behind Celic, and he costs 0.7m less. The run ends with Örgryte at home, where Degerfors have a 36% clean sheet chance, their best of the last three gameweeks.

Gameweek 28 defenders
All three of Hammarby's first-choice defenders sit at the top of the three-gameweek table. Hampus Skoglund (6.8m, HIF) leads on 14.0 (4.4 → 5.0 → 4.6), Noah Persson (7.4m, HIF) is close behind on 13.8 and only 2.7% owned, and Frederik Winther is on 13.7. All three play the same [H]ELF → [H]IFK → [A]VÄS. The club limit matters here. You can own three Hammarby players. If two of those spots go to Victor Lind and Paulos Abraham, there is room for one Hammarby defender. Skoglund has the highest total. Persson is the differential, because almost nobody owns him.
Oscar Krusnell (6.8m, SIR) is the best of the rest, at 13.2 from [A]KFF → [H]DIF → [A]IFK. His 4.5 → 4.1 → 4.6 trajectory is flat, which means you can buy him and leave him alone until the end of the season. Only Niklas Hult has a higher total outside Hammarby, and his comes with a weak Gameweek 28. Niklas Hult (6.3m, ELF) is a hold, not a new buy. His program is [A]HIF → [A]BKH → [H]GAI, and the trip to Hammarby limits him to 3.0 this week, but 5.8 at Häcken is the highest defender projection of Gameweek 29. At 35.4% owned, he is in a lot of squads, and selling him now would mean selling just before his best week.
The value picks are Oliver Zandén (5.0m, BRO) and Nikolai Skuseth (4.5m, DEG). Zandén's [H]MJA → [H]HBK → [A]MFF gives 4.1 → 5.0 → 3.4. That is 12.5 for a 5.0m defender, more than several defenders priced above 6m, and he is 4.7% owned. Skuseth is the deep differential at 0.1% ownership. Degerfors' [H]GAI → [A]AIK → [H]ÖIS lifts him from 3.2 to 4.5, and he pairs with Igonen if you want a cheap Degerfors defensive double-up for the final gameweek.
One defender tops the Gameweek 28 table but not the three-gameweek one. Simon Gefvert has the highest defender projection this week, 4.9 at Örgryte, but Västerås' collapse leaves him on 11.0 over the three gameweeks, 3.0 behind Skoglund. If you are buying one defender and keeping him, buy from the top of the program table, not the gameweek table.

Gameweek 28 midfielders
Bo Åsulv Hegland (8.4m, DIF) and Victor Lind (11.0m, HIF) are the two best midfielders of the run-in. Hegland's [A]HBK → [A]SIR → [H]BKH gives him 6.0 → 5.1 → 7.2, a total of 18.3. His 7.2 at home to Häcken in Gameweek 30 is the single highest projection of the three gameweeks. The model gives him 0.28 expected goals and 0.34 expected assists this week. Lind's [H]ELF → [H]IFK → [A]VÄS gives 6.0 → 6.2 → 5.9 and 18.1, the steadiest high line in the game. Lind is the one to buy if you own only one of the two: he is owned by 32.7% against Hegland's 54.5%.
Isak Bjerkebo (9.2m, SIR) completes the premium trio on 5.8 → 5.8 → 5.1 from [A]KFF → [H]DIF → [A]IFK. He takes Sirius's penalties. At 60.0% owned he is the most-owned player in the game, so holding him is about protecting rank. If you need funds elsewhere, he is the one of the three you could sell.
Montader Madjed (8.8m, HIF) is the best hidden gem in midfield. Hammarby's [H]ELF → [H]IFK → [A]VÄS gives him 4.9 → 5.2 → 4.9, a total of 15.0, more than every midfielder outside the premium trio. Only 7.3% of managers own him. He takes your third Hammarby spot, so he is the alternative to a Hammarby defender rather than an addition. Jeppe Okkels (7.2m, DIF) is the Djurgården differential at 1.1%. [A]HBK → [A]SIR → [H]BKH gives him 4.5 → 3.5 → 4.5, and the two strong weeks are the ones he projects best.
For the cheaper midfield slots, Marcus Lindberg (5.8m, SIR) gives 4.1 → 4.0 → 4.0 from [A]KFF → [H]DIF → [A]IFK. Frank Junior Adjei (5.8m, HIF) is the Hammarby budget option, with 4.0 → 4.0 → 4.0 from [H]ELF → [H]IFK → [A]VÄS at 0.7% owned. Both have flat projections, so you can buy them and stop thinking about them. Mads Kristian Hansen (7.3m, BRO) takes Brommapojkarna's penalties. [H]MJA → [H]HBK → [A]MFF gives him 4.2 → 4.9 → 3.4, with the peak against Halmstads BK in Gameweek 29.
The one-gameweek trap is Julius Lindberg. His 5.8 at AIK ties him with Bjerkebo this week, but Häcken's [A]AIK → [H]ELF → [A]DIF drops him to 2.9 and then 4.1. Over the three gameweeks he is on 12.8 against Bjerkebo's 16.7. Do not spend a transfer on him now. That is what the Loan Rangers chip is for.

Gameweek 28 forwards
Paulos Abraham (10.6m, HIF) is the best forward of the run-in at 15.6. Hammarby's [H]ELF → [H]IFK → [A]VÄS gives him 5.5 → 5.0 → 5.1, and the model has him on 0.51 expected goals this week, the highest of any player in the game. Kristian Lien (10.4m, DIF) is close behind on 14.8 with [A]HBK → [A]SIR → [H]BKH. He takes Djurgården's penalties, and his Gameweek 29 dip at Sirius is the only soft spot. Both are owned by around four in ten managers, so these two picks are about not falling behind, not gaining ground.
Below them the position is thin. Jacob Bergström (6.2m, MJA) is the value forward. He takes Mjällby's penalties, and [A]BRO → [H]MFF → [A]HBK gives him 3.7 → 4.1 → 4.0, with no week below 3.7. No other forward under 8m gets close to his 11.8. Forward is not where you look for differentials this week. The gap after the top three is large, and the extra points are in midfield.

Captaincy for Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 28
Victor Lind (11.0m, HIF) is the Gameweek 28 captain, and [H]ELF → [H]IFK → [A]VÄS makes him a captain option in all three gameweeks. He and Hegland share the top projection of the gameweek on 6.0. Lind gets the armband because his minutes are safer: the model has him at 79 expected minutes against Hegland's 70. Bo Åsulv Hegland is the equal alternative. He is owned by 54.5%, so captaining him is the choice that protects your rank. Isak Bjerkebo (5.8) and Paulos Abraham (5.5) are the next names down. Julius Lindberg matches Bjerkebo this week, but he is not a player to own past Sunday.
Plan the armband for all three gameweeks together. Lind is the Gameweek 29 captain too, at 6.2 against IFK Göteborg, the top projection of that gameweek. Hegland takes over in Gameweek 30 with 7.2 against Häcken. Owning both means you have the top captain option every week until the end of the season. For more on how to make the call, see our guide on how to pick a fantasy captain.

Who to sell before Gameweek 28
Nahir Besara (13.1m, HIF) is the clearest sale, and now is the time. He is owned by 28.6%, but the latest Allsvenskan Fantasy predicted lineups do not have him in Hammarby's starting XI. That gives him 17 expected minutes and 1.5 → 2.1 → 1.8 expected points. The fixtures are not the problem: [H]ELF → [H]IFK → [A]VÄS is the best run in the league, and the problem is his minutes. His projection does not recover in any of the three gameweeks, so waiting gains nothing. At 13.1m he also costs more than Victor Lind (11.0m), who projects 18.1 over the same run.
Isak Pettersson (5.5m, ELF) should go this week too. He is 18.3% owned, and Elfsborg's program is [A]HIF → [A]BKH → [H]GAI. The predicted lineups split Elfsborg's goal between him and Theo Sander, so he projects 1.4 → 3.8 → 1.7. His only reasonable week is Gameweek 29. Matvei Igonen costs 1.0m less and projects 12.3 against Pettersson's 6.9.
Herman Magnusson (4.6m, VÄS) and Julius Lindberg (8.8m, BKH) are next week's sales, not this week's. Magnusson is 31.8% owned, and Västerås' trip to Örgryte is a decent fixture. He projects 4.2 there, which is a fair return. But [A]ÖIS → [A]GAI → [H]HIF then drops him to 3.4 and 3.1. Play him on Saturday and make him your first transfer out before Gameweek 29. If you already have a spare transfer this week, Oliver Zandén (12.5) is the replacement. Lindberg is the same story. Häcken's [A]AIK → [H]ELF → [A]DIF takes him through 5.8 → 2.9 → 4.1. AIK away is their best fixture of the run-in, so keep him for it and move him on before the home game against Elfsborg.
Ludvig Arvidsson is the weak link up front. He is 16.7% owned, and Halmstads BK have the worst attacking run in the league. He projects 2.6 → 2.4 → 2.7. For a 1.8m upgrade, Jacob Bergström adds 4.1 expected points over the three gameweeks.
Best Loan Rangers team for Gameweek 28
If you still have the Loan Rangers chip, Gameweek 28 is a reasonable week for it. The one-week squad gets the most out of Häcken and Västerås, whose best fixtures of the run-in fall this week, without spending transfers on players you would sell straight afterwards. The squad below maximises Gameweek 28 projected points alone. The starting XI comes to 57.6 expected points before the captain. The exact optimum, including with your own constraints, is on the live Allsvenskan Fantasy optimal teams page.

Victor Lind is the Gameweek 28 captain. He shares the top projection of the gameweek (6.0 expected points at home to Elfsborg) with Bo Åsulv Hegland, and his minutes are more secure. Hegland is the equal alternative. Isak Bjerkebo (5.8) and Paulos Abraham (5.5) are next.
Which defenders are best for Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 28?
Hampus Skoglund is the best defender for the rest of the season, with 14.0 expected points over Hammarby's [H]ELF → [H]IFK → [A]VÄS. Noah Persson is the low-owned Hammarby alternative. Oscar Krusnell is the best non-Hammarby option, and Oliver Zandén is the best value at 5.0m.
Should I sell Nahir Besara before Gameweek 28?
Yes. Nahir Besara is not in Hammarby's predicted starting XI and projects 1.5 → 2.1 → 1.8 over the last three gameweeks, despite Hammarby having the best fixtures in the league. Victor Lind, at 11.0m, projects 18.1 over the same three gameweeks and is the natural replacement.
Who are the best differentials for Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 28?
Montader Madjed is the best differential: 15.0 expected points over the last three gameweeks at 7.3% ownership. Noah Persson (2.7%), Jeppe Okkels (1.1%) and the budget defender Nikolai Skuseth (0.1%) are the other low-owned picks with strong programs.
