Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 26: best buys and captains

Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 26 preview: best buys, captains and differentials

Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 26 is a midweek gameweek. The deadline is Tuesday 27 October, minutes before AIK - Elfsborg, and the gameweek closes on Thursday with Hammarby - Sirius. Gameweek 27 follows from Sunday 1 November and Gameweek 28 from Friday 6 November. After that the league stops until Gameweek 29 on 21 November, and only two gameweeks remain.

That makes this deadline the decision for the whole final block. Three gameweeks land in twelve days, so whatever you bring in now has to carry you to the break. Hegland is already in more than half of all squads, so the real question is how you fill the other spots. This preview ranks every pick on its next three fixtures, not on Tuesday alone. All numbers come from the model's projections, pulled on 24 October; the full table is on our Allsvenskan Fantasy player picks page.

The programs: whose next three gameweeks are worth owning

Häcken's [A]BRO → [H]IFK → [A]AIK is the best attacking run in the game at 6.40 expected goals, with 0.99 expected clean sheets. It is a three-gameweek window, not a hold. [H]ELF → [A]DIF waits in Gameweeks 29 and 30, and Häcken players drop sharply there. Djurgården are close behind with [A]IFK → [H]DEG → [A]HBK (6.34 xG, 0.97 clean sheets), and their run carries on past the break. Hammarby's [H]SIR → [A]MFF → [H]ELF (6.21 xG, 0.94) is the steadiest of the three. Their players' projections barely move across all five remaining gameweeks. In league games since March they have averaged 2.11 xG for and 1.02 against.

On defence, GAIS have the best three-gameweek clean-sheet total. [A]KFF → [H]AIK → [A]DEG adds up to 1.03 expected clean sheets, but only 3.77 xG, so their goalkeeper is worth owning and their attack is not. Every team plays one fixture in each of Gameweeks 26, 27 and 28, so there are no blanks to plan around and the totals below compare like with like.

Two programs turn inside the window. Sirius are only 15% to win at Hammarby, but [H]HBK → [A]KFF follows, and Sirius players jump in Gameweek 27. Halmstads BK are the opposite case. They have the weakest run in the league (2.95 xG, 0.34 expected clean sheets) and nobody from Halmstads earns a place below. The full calendar, including the long break before Gameweek 29, is on the Allsvenskan Fantasy schedule.

Gameweek 26 goalkeepers

Jacob Rinne (6.0m, DIF) is the goalkeeper for the block. [A]IFK → [H]DEG → [A]HBK projects 4.2 → 4.7 → 4.6, or 13.5 points over the three, the most of any keeper. Djurgården carry a 26% clean-sheet chance at Göteborg, and the Degerfors and Halmstads fixtures behind it are where his points come from. He is owned by 11.8%.

Mergim Krasniqi (5.5m, GAI) is the one to pick if you are looking beyond Gameweek 28. [A]KFF → [H]AIK → [A]DEG gives him 4.4 → 4.6 → 4.2, and [H]VÄS in Gameweek 29 adds 4.9. On the weighted five-gameweek score he edges Rinne, 14.6 to 14.2. Rinne wins the three-gameweek block and Krasniqi wins the run to the end of the season. If you are buying one keeper and keeping him, Krasniqi at 7.0% ownership is the pick.

Isak Pettersson (5.5m, ELF) is a clean hold for his 19.1% of owners. He has 4.3 and 4.7 in the next two, one dip at Hammarby in Gameweek 28, then 5.0. For a budget option, Leo Cavallius (4.6m, BRO) has a rising program: [H]BKH → [A]VÄS → [H]MJA, 3.8 → 4.5 → 4.1, then 4.6 at home to Halmstads. Sirius's David Celic (5.2m) projects only 3.5 at Hammarby but 4.9 the week after, so he is a Gameweek 27 buy rather than a buy now.

Gameweek 26 defenders

Frederik Winther (6.7m, HIF) is the defender you never have to think about. [H]SIR → [A]MFF → [H]ELF projects 4.3 → 3.6 → 4.4, and Gameweeks 29 and 30 hold 4.4 and 4.2. That is the flattest high line among defenders and the top three-gameweek total in the position at 12.3. Hampus Skoglund (6.8m, HIF) is almost identical on the same [H]SIR → [A]MFF → [H]ELF, at 4.3 → 3.4 → 4.3. Hammarby carry a 34% clean-sheet chance against Sirius, second only to Malmö's 35% at Halmstads.

The Djurgården differential is Adam Ståhl (6.3m, DIF), owned by just 3.0%. [A]IFK → [H]DEG → [A]HBK gives 3.7 → 4.7 → 3.8, and 12.2 over the block is second among defenders. Piotr Johansson (5.7m, DIF) is the cheaper route into the same [A]IFK → [H]DEG → [A]HBK run, at 3.7 → 4.5 → 3.8. Remember the cap of three per club. With Hegland and Lien already owned by many, there is room for one Djurgården defender or Rinne, not both.

Adam Lundqvist (5.4m, BKH) is the Häcken defender for the three-gameweek window. [A]BRO → [H]IFK → [A]AIK gives him 3.7 → 3.9 → 4.1, then 1.7 at home to Elfsborg in Gameweek 29, so plan to sell him again after Gameweek 28.

Here the gameweek ranking and the program ranking disagree. Sirius's Tobias Anker (5.2m, SIR) projects only 2.6 at Hammarby, near the bottom of the useful defenders. Over three gameweeks, though, he has 11.8, more than Hult or any Elfsborg defender, because [A]HIF → [H]HBK → [A]KFF continues with fixtures worth 5.1 and 4.1. He is a Gameweek 27 buy. If he is next week's transfer, plan it now and spend this week's elsewhere. Henrik Castegren (28.7%) and Oscar Krusnell (14.4%) owners should hold for the same reason. Gameweek 26 is the low point of a good Sirius run, so it is no reason to sell.

On a budget, Oliver Zandén (5.0m, BRO) has the best three-gameweek total of any defender at 5.0m or less. [H]BKH → [A]VÄS → [H]MJA projects 3.4 → 4.3 → 3.8, then 4.5 against Halmstads in Gameweek 29. Mikael Dyrestam (4.3m, ÖIS) is the best cheap starter: no defender at 4.3m or less projects more this gameweek. He has [H]MJA → [A]ELF → [H]VÄS at 3.6 → 2.9 → 4.2, and that is 0.84 points per million this gameweek. Herman Magnusson (4.6m, VÄS) is fine for his 31.6% of owners, though 3.9 → 3.6 → 3.4 → 3.0 is a slow fade. Simon Gefvert (5.2m, VÄS) is a one-gameweek play: 4.1 at Degerfors, then lower every week.

Niklas Hult (6.2m, ELF), owned by 34.2%, is a hold. [A]AIK → [H]ÖIS gives 4.2 and 4.8. Only the Gameweek 28 trip to Hammarby (2.6) is poor, and he is back to 5.2 at Häcken in Gameweek 29.

Gameweek 26 midfielders

Bo Åsulv Hegland (8.3m, DIF) is the best player in the game for the block. He has [A]IFK → [H]DEG → [A]HBK at 5.8 → 6.8 → 5.8, and 18.4 points over three is 2.5 clear of anyone else. His 0.68 expected goal involvements per 90 since March (6.21 xG and 9.03 xA) are the base of that number. At 54.1% ownership most managers already have him. If you do not, he is the first transfer.

Victor Lind (11.0m, HIF) is the other premium. [H]SIR → [A]MFF → [H]ELF gives 5.7 → 4.7 → 5.5, and he projects 5.2 and 4.8 after the break. He is the highest-floor premium for the whole run-in. For a cheaper way into Hammarby's run, Montader Madjed (8.9m, HIF) projects 4.5 → 3.9 → 4.6 over the same [H]SIR → [A]MFF → [H]ELF at 6.8% ownership. Frank Junior Adjei (5.8m, HIF) is a budget version of the same program at 4.1 → 3.6 → 4.0, owned by 0.8%. His projected minutes are 69, so he is the riskier of the two.

The best differential in the game is Mikkel Rygaard (8.4m, BKH), owned by 1.9%. He is Häcken's penalty taker, and [A]BRO → [H]IFK → [A]AIK projects 4.6 → 4.7 → 5.0, a rising line. Over the three gameweeks his 14.3 trails only Hegland, Lind and Bjerkebo among midfielders. Treat him as a three-gameweek buy. He drops to 2.6 against Elfsborg in Gameweek 29, so Gameweek 29 is the week to sell him again. Abdoulaye Doumbia (5.7m, BKH) is the budget way into the same [A]BRO → [H]IFK → [A]AIK window: 3.9 → 4.0 → 4.1, the best three-gameweek total of any midfielder under 6.0m.

Momoh Kamara (6.8m, ELF) is the other value differential at 9.2%. [A]AIK → [H]ÖIS → [A]HIF gives 4.9 → 5.1 → 3.4. The Hammarby trip is the dip, then [A]BKH comes back to 5.4. He has a projected 83 minutes and costs less than any midfielder above him.

Isak Bjerkebo (9.3m, SIR) is the most-owned player in the game at 61.7%, and he is a hold. Gameweek 26 at Hammarby is a 3.5, but he projects 6.6 at home to Halmstads in Gameweek 27, the second-highest score anyone has that week. He is Sirius's penalty taker and has 0.76 expected goal involvements per 90 since March, even more than Hegland. Selling him for one weak fixture means buying him back a week later.

Sead Haksabanovic (9.7m, MFF) projects 5.6 at Halmstads, the third-best score of the gameweek. Malmö then face [H]HIF → [A]IFK and he drops to 4.3 and 4.2. He is a one-gameweek buy at a premium price, so we leave him out of the recommendations.

Gameweek 26 forwards

Paulos Abraham (10.7m, HIF) is the top forward over the block. [H]SIR → [A]MFF → [H]ELF projects 5.3 → 4.2 → 5.0, and 14.5 points over three leads the position. He has 14 goals since March from 13.08 xG, 0.72 expected goal involvements per 90. Kristian Lien (10.3m, DIF) is second at 13.4, with [A]IFK → [H]DEG → [A]HBK worth 4.3 → 4.8 → 4.3. He is Djurgården's penalty taker and has 16 goals since March. Abraham wins Gameweek 26 and Lien wins Gameweek 27. Over the three gameweeks Abraham is about one point ahead, so if you can only own one, it is Abraham.

Adrian Svanbäck (8.0m, BKH) is the Häcken forward for the window, owned by 9.4%. [A]BRO → [H]IFK → [A]AIK gives him 4.2 → 4.3 → 4.7, then 2.4 in Gameweek 29. Gustav Lindgren (8.3m, BKH) owners are in the same position: 4.0 → 3.8 → 3.9 is worth keeping through Gameweek 28. The 1.9 against Elfsborg in Gameweek 29 is the point to move on, so there is no reason to sell him now.

The value forward is Leo Oestman (6.1m, ELF) at 8.4% ownership. He has [A]AIK → [H]ÖIS → [A]HIF at 3.6 → 3.8 → 2.8, with a projected 82 minutes, then 3.8 at Häcken in Gameweek 29. Jacob Bergström (6.2m, MJA) is a hold for his 19.4% of owners. He takes Mjällby's penalties and projects 3.6 in each of the next two gameweeks.

Captaincy for Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 26

Captains score double. The pick is Bo Åsulv Hegland (8.3m, DIF), [A]IFK → [H]DEG → [A]HBK: 5.8 at IFK Göteborg, or 11.6 with the armband. Victor Lind (5.7, at home to Sirius) is the closest alternative. Sead Haksabanovic (5.6) and Paulos Abraham (5.3) complete the realistic top four.

The captaincy also decides which premium to own. Hegland is the top projected player in Gameweeks 26, 27 and 28. In Gameweek 27 Isak Bjerkebo (6.6 against Halmstads) is right behind his 6.8, and Lind is second in Gameweek 28 at 5.5. Owning Hegland plus either Lind or Bjerkebo gives you a strong captain in every gameweek of the block.

Who to sell before Gameweek 26

Nahir Besara (13.1m, HIF) is the clearest sale, and this is the gameweek to make it. He is the most expensive player in the game and owned by 28.8%. His projected minutes over [H]SIR → [A]MFF → [H]ELF are only 32, 26 and 28, so he projects 3.0 → 2.0 → 2.4. His rate is still good when he plays, 0.70 expected goal involvements per 90 since March, but he is not projected to play much. Why now: Hammarby's best fixture of the run, [H]SIR, is this gameweek. Swapping him for Lind, Abraham or Madjed puts a Hammarby starter in that fixture, and his price funds an upgrade elsewhere.

Victor Eriksson (6.3m, HIF), owned by 16.7%, goes for the same reason. Over [H]SIR → [A]MFF → [H]ELF he has 1.7 → 1.1 → 1.4 on projected minutes of 34, 26 and 28. Why now: Hammarby's 34% clean-sheet chance against Sirius is the best of their run, and Winther or Skoglund will be on the pitch for it. August Wängberg (5.3m, GAI, 14.3%) is a similar case. He projects about 2 points a week on 39 minutes. GAIS have the best clean-sheet program in the league, but Krasniqi is the way to own it.

Warner Hahn (6.0m, HIF), owned by 25.3%, can wait a gameweek. [H]SIR is a good fixture and he projects 3.4 for it. After that his projected minutes fall to 33 in Gameweeks 27 and 28 and he drops to 1.5 and 1.6. If you have a more urgent transfer, play him on Thursday and sell him before Gameweek 27.

FAQ

Who should I captain in Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 26?

Bo Åsulv Hegland is the top captain pick, with 5.8 projected points (11.6 doubled) at IFK Göteborg. Victor Lind (5.7, at home to Sirius) is the alternative. Hegland is also the top projected player in Gameweeks 27 and 28, so he is the captain for the whole block.

Who are the best Allsvenskan Fantasy differentials for Gameweek 26?

Mikkel Rygaard (8.4m, Häcken, 1.9% owned) is the best differential, with 4.6 → 4.7 → 5.0 over Gameweeks 26 to 28. He is Häcken's penalty taker. Adam Ståhl (6.3m, Djurgården, 3.0%) and Mergim Krasniqi (5.5m, GAIS, 7.0%) are the defensive differentials.

Should I sell Isak Bjerkebo before Gameweek 26?

No. Bjerkebo projects only 3.5 at Hammarby in Gameweek 26, but he jumps to 6.6 at home to Halmstads in Gameweek 27 and projects 5.2 in Gameweek 28. One weak fixture inside a strong Sirius run is a reason to hold.

Should I sell Nahir Besara before Gameweek 26?

Yes. Besara projects 3.0, 2.0 and 2.4 over the next three gameweeks on projected minutes of around 30 per game. His price funds a Hammarby starter such as Victor Lind or Paulos Abraham for Hammarby's best fixture of the run, at home to Sirius.

Which budget defenders are best for Allsvenskan Fantasy Gameweek 26?

Oliver Zandén (5.0m, Brommapojkarna) has the best three-gameweek total of any defender at 5.0m or less, 3.4 → 4.3 → 3.8. Mikael Dyrestam (4.3m, Örgryte) projects 3.6 this gameweek, the most of any defender at 4.3m or less.
