How our predicted lineups are built
Most predicted lineups are one person's guess, published and never checked. Ours start from many independent sources per competition, and every one of them is scored afterwards against the eleven players who actually walked out - so a source earns its influence from its record in that specific league rather than from its reputation.
Sources that publish near-identical XIs are grouped and share a single vote, so an outlet copying another does not get counted twice. The output is a chance of starting for each player rather than a flat list of eleven names, and that percentage is what feeds projected minutes and predicted points.

Frequently asked questions
How accurate are Sofascore LaLiga predicted lineups?
Every source we read is scored against the eleven players who actually started, and weighted on its record in that competition - so accuracy differs by league, and the per-league measurements are published in our guide to how predicted lineups are made. Whatever the league, accuracy rises as kick-off approaches and official team news lands: a predicted XI with one or two names off is the normal case, not a failure.
When are lineups updated?
Throughout the build-up to each round, and again when confirmed XIs are released before kick-off.
What does the starting percentage next to each Sofascore LaLiga player mean?
It is that player's chance of being in the starting eleven, not a yes-or-no call. A player at 95% and a player at 60% both appear in an eleven-name list and are completely different propositions for a captaincy decision - and the percentage is what feeds his projected minutes and predicted points on this site.
