Eliteserien Fantasy 2026 Round 19 Preview
Eliteserien Fantasy round 19 preview: best buys, captain picks and hidden gems
Eliteserien Fantasy round 19 splits neatly into two halves. Four home sides are projected for comfortable wins, and the other four matches are close enough that the model does not want you anywhere near them. The deadline is Saturday 29 August at 14:55, with Vålerenga - Molde kicking off at 16:00 the same afternoon and the rest of the round running through Sunday. Kick-off times for all eight games are on the Eliteserien Fantasy schedule page.
The two or three highest projections belong to players most managers already own, so they win nobody a league. Round 19 is decided in the six or seven squad slots behind them - and in the dead weight a lot of squads are still carrying, including an 11.7m forward with no projection at all.
Round 19 fixtures: where the points are projected
Four matches carry the round. Every number below is one team's own projection.
| Team | Fixture | Win probability | Projected goals | Clean sheet chance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Viking | [H]Aalesund | 75% | 2.94 | 35% |
| Aalesund | [A]Viking | 10% | 1.05 | 5% |
| Bodø/Glimt | [H]Rosenborg | 71% | 2.66 | 35% |
| Rosenborg | [A]Bodø/Glimt | 12% | 1.04 | 7% |
| Tromsø | [H]Sarpsborg 08 | 58% | 2.03 | 33% |
| Sarpsborg 08 | [A]Tromsø | 19% | 1.10 | 13% |
| Lillestrøm | [H]Fredrikstad | 57% | 1.94 | 35% |
| Fredrikstad | [A]Lillestrøm | 19% | 1.05 | 14% |
Viking - Aalesund is the standout. Viking are projected for 2.94 goals, the highest single-team figure of the round, against a side the model gives a 10% chance of winning and a 5% chance of a clean sheet. Bodø/Glimt - Rosenborg is close behind at 2.66 projected goals and the same 35% clean sheet chance.
The match to avoid is Vålerenga - Molde. Molde are 42% away from home against Vålerenga's 35%, with clean sheet chances of 18% and 16% - the two lowest of any side playing a genuinely competitive fixture this round. That is a game to take players out of, not put them into. You can check any of these numbers against the Eliteserien market probabilities page.
The multi-round picture: which buys hold their value
One free transfer per round and a 4-point hit means a single good fixture is rarely enough. Scored across the next six rounds with the nearer rounds weighted more heavily, the programmes split into two clear groups.
Buy and keep. Viking play [H]Aalesund, then [A]Sandefjord and [H]Kristiansund BK at an 82% win probability - the single best fixture anywhere in this window. Bodø/Glimt play [H]Rosenborg, then [A]Fredrikstad and [H]Sandefjord at 71%, 67% and 73%. Neither club has a difficult game for three rounds.
Buy for one round only. Lillestrøm are excellent at home to Fredrikstad and then travel to Brann on a 23% win probability - their defenders roughly halve in projection from round 19 to round 20. Hamarkameratene are the same story: a home game against Kristiansund BK, then [A]Rosenborg at 23%. Both are worth buying into this week, and both are worth planning your exit from before the next deadline.
Buy next round, not this one. Sarpsborg 08 are away at Tromsø on a 19% win probability, then host Vålerenga. Sondre Sørli (6.5m) goes from 3.2 to 5.3 across those two rounds, and Rosenborg's Emil Konradsen Ceide (7.7m) goes from 2.8 to 5.1. Neither is a buy today.
Goalkeepers: cheap is correct this week
Pontus Dahlberg (4.8m, Lillestrøm) and Marcus Sandberg (5.0m, Hamarkameratene) share the position lead on 4.0 xP. Dahlberg has the better clean sheet number of the two at 35% against Fredrikstad, and the lower price.
The value pick is Arild Østbø (4.3m, Viking) - 3.8 xP, a 35% clean sheet chance, and the best points-per-million in the position at 0.88. He also has the most durable programme of any keeper in the game, projecting 3.8, 3.4 and 4.0 across the next three rounds. Ole Kristian Gjefle Lauvli (4.3m, Tromsø) is the deep differential at 3.7 xP and 0.2% ownership, and his six-round profile is the steadiest in the position - he never drops below 3.3.
Nikita Haikin (5.7m, Bodø/Glimt) is on 3.7 xP with the same 35% clean sheet chance, but he costs 1.4m more than Østbø for no extra projection. Spend the difference in attack.
Defenders: buy Lillestrøm for one round, Tromsø for three
Yaw Paintsil (4.8m, Lillestrøm) and Isak Dahlqvist (5.5m, Tromsø) lead all defenders on 5.0 xP. Paintsil returns the joint-best points-per-million of any outfield player in the round at 1.04, and he is owned by 0.4% of managers. But be clear about what you are buying: his projection falls to 2.4 in round 20 when Lillestrøm travel to Brann. He is a one-round pick, and a very good one.
Dahlqvist is the version that keeps working. His six-round profile reads 5.0, 4.6, 3.5, 4.2, 3.6, 3.9 - no collapse anywhere - and he is owned by 0.9%. That combination of a top-of-position projection this week and no bad week after it is the best defensive buy in the game right now.
Lars Mogstad Ranger (5.0m, Lillestrøm) is on 4.8 xP at 0.96 per million and is the more widely-held route into the same clean sheet at 18.6% ownership. The budget option is Ruben Gabrielsen (4.6m, Lillestrøm) - 4.2 xP, 0.91 per million, 88 projected minutes and the same 35% clean sheet chance as his team-mates for the lowest price of the three.
Premium alternative: Fredrik Sjøvold (7.8m, Bodø/Glimt) at 4.7 xP, backed by 105 actual points across 17 rounds - more than any other defender in the game this season. He is the one expensive defender whose programme justifies the money.
The hidden gem is Vidar Ari Jonsson (4.9m, Hamarkameratene): 4.7 xP, fifth among all defenders, at 0.6% ownership. Same caveat as Paintsil - he drops to 2.3 next round, so buy him for this week and plan the exit.
Midfielders: the position that decides the round
Zlatko Tripic (12.6m, Viking) is the top projection in the game at 7.2 xP and the most expensive player in it. The season record backs the price: 136 actual points across 18 rounds, 7.6 per round, and a 90% share of Viking's penalties. He is also owned by 65.8% of managers, so owning him is protection rather than an edge.
The edge sits one rung below. Felix Va (6.4m, Lillestrøm) is the third-highest projection in the entire game at 6.0 xP, at half Tripic's price, with a 73% penalty share and 84 projected minutes at home to Fredrikstad. Jens Petter Hauge (10.4m, Bodø/Glimt) is on 5.6 xP and has the most balanced six-round profile of any premium in the game - he never drops below 4.7.
Every projection in this section is the model's round 19 number. The full list, sortable by position, price and projected points, is on the Eliteserien Fantasy player picks page, and the fixture run behind each one is on the Eliteserien Fantasy schedule.
Sondre Auklend (6.6m, Bodø/Glimt) is the buy of the round. He projects 5.2 xP - sixth among all midfielders - on 76 projected minutes, and he is owned by 0.8% of managers. Across six rounds he scores 17.2 on a weighted basis, ahead of players costing 3m more, and he has already banked 60 actual points this season. If you want one name from this preview that separates you from your league, it is this one.
Edvin Austbø (8.6m, Viking) at 5.6 xP is the second route into the round's best fixture, and he has 24 of his 32 season points in the last five rounds. Ole Blomberg (9.8m, Bodø/Glimt) is on 5.4 xP with an 89% penalty share and 91 points from 17 rounds.
The budget midfielders: Blerton Isufi (4.8m, Hamarkameratene) returns 5.0 xP for a points-per-million of 1.04, the joint-best figure in the game, on 80 projected minutes. He is a one-round punt - his projection falls to 3.0 next round - but at that price the punt is cheap. His team-mate Aksel Baran Potur (5.5m) is the safer version at 5.2 xP and 85 projected minutes, with 87 points already this season. David Edvardsson (4.9m, Tromsø) is the third cheap option at 4.2 xP and 85 minutes, and unlike the Hamarkameratene pair his fixtures hold up.
Heine Åsen Larsen (6.3m, Tromsø) is on 4.8 xP with 109 season points, the second-highest total of any midfielder in the game, and remains a solid mid-price hold.
Forwards: one premium, one cheap
Peter Christiansen (10.6m, Viking) is the clear number one at 6.9 xP, the second-highest projection in the game. He is projected for 0.65 goals in this fixture alone - no other forward is above 0.55 - and his programme holds across the horizon at 6.9, 5.0 and 6.6 over the next three rounds.
Andreas Helmersen (8.3m, Bodø/Glimt) is second on 5.2 xP and carries the best six-round weighted score of any forward except Christiansen. The caveat is minutes: 68 projected, the lowest of any forward worth owning, so treat him as an upside play rather than a floor pick.
The value pick is Jesper Cornelius (5.9m, Start) at 4.3 xP and 0.73 points per million, on 83 projected minutes at home to KFUM. James Ampofo (5.4m, Start) is the cheaper same-fixture alternative at 3.9 xP if you need the extra 0.5m elsewhere.
Captain picks for round 19
- Zlatko Tripic (Viking) - 7.2 xP, the highest in the game, 90% of Viking's penalties, and the round's best fixture. He is also the top projection again in round 21 at 7.4 xP, so the armband has somewhere to go next.
- Peter Christiansen (Viking) - 6.9 xP, and the gap to Tripic is now only 0.3. If you want the goal rather than the assist, this is the same fixture at 2m less.
- Felix Va (Lillestrøm) - 6.0 xP. The differential armband: penalties, 84 minutes, and a home game against a side projected for 1.05 goals.
Jens Petter Hauge and Edvin Austbø both sit on 5.6 xP and complete the realistic top five. Nothing outside that group has the ceiling to justify the armband. Compare them side by side on the Eliteserien Fantasy player picks page.
Who to sell before round 19
This is the section most managers skip, and it is where the round is quietly lost.
- Kasper Waarts Høgh (11.7m, Bodø/Glimt) - no projection in any of the next four rounds, and 30.2% of squads still hold him. That is 11.7m doing nothing. Sell him this round, whatever it costs.
- Jakob Haugaard (5.0m, Tromsø) - 0.0 xP on zero projected minutes, and still owned by 31.1%. Tromsø have a good fixture; he is not part of it. Ole Kristian Gjefle Lauvli (4.3m) is the same clean sheet for less money.
- Leo Cornic (6.3m, Tromsø) - 0.0 xP this round, 26.8% owned. Isak Dahlqvist or Isak Vådebu (5.0m, 4.1 xP) keep the fixture and add the minutes.
- Henrik Heggheim (6.3m, Viking) - 2.5 xP despite the best fixture in the round, because he is projected for roughly 50 minutes rather than 90. A 31.5%-owned defender who is a rotation risk is the worst kind of hold. Gianni Stensness (5.8m, 4.2 xP) is the same fixture, cheaper, and nailed.
- Thomas Lehne Olsen (8.0m, Lillestrøm) - 1.5 xP on 25 projected minutes, and no round above 2.5 in the next four. His team has a good fixture; he does not have a starting place.
- Henrik Udahl (5.7m, Hamarkameratene) - 3.7 xP is acceptable this week, but his next three rounds read 2.5, 2.6 and 2.2. At 25.5% ownership he is the most widely-held player whose programme is about to fall away.
Before selling anyone on the back of minutes, check them against the Eliteserien predicted lineups - that is where the projected minutes behind every number above come from.
Best Rich Uncle team for round 19
Rich Uncle gives you unlimited transfers and no budget ceiling for a single round, so the only binding constraints are the formation and the maximum of three players from one club. On round 19 projections alone, this is the strongest legal eleven.
| Position | Player | Price | Round 19 xP |
|---|---|---|---|
| GK | Marcus Sandberg (Hamarkameratene) | 5.0m | 4.0 |
| DEF | Yaw Paintsil (Lillestrøm) | 4.8m | 5.0 |
| DEF | Isak Dahlqvist (Tromsø) | 5.5m | 5.0 |
| DEF | Lars Mogstad Ranger (Lillestrøm) | 5.0m | 4.8 |
| MID | Zlatko Tripic (Viking) | 12.6m | 7.2 |
| MID | Felix Va (Lillestrøm) | 6.4m | 6.0 |
| MID | Edvin Austbø (Viking) | 8.6m | 5.6 |
| MID | Jens Petter Hauge (Bodø/Glimt) | 10.4m | 5.6 |
| MID | Ole Blomberg (Bodø/Glimt) | 9.8m | 5.4 |
| FWD | Peter Christiansen (Viking) | 10.6m | 6.9 |
| FWD | Andreas Helmersen (Bodø/Glimt) | 8.3m | 5.2 |
That is a 1-3-5-2 with three players each from Viking, Lillestrøm and Bodø/Glimt - 60.7 projected points before the armband, and 67.9 with Tripic captained. Helmersen is the weakest link on minutes, so swapping to a 1-4-5-1 with Fredrik Sjøvold in his place is the safer-floor variant. The short version
Buy the Viking attack and captain Tripic. Rent the Lillestrøm defence for one round and sell it before they go to Brann. If you need to find money, it is sitting in Høgh, Haugaard and Cornic, none of whom the model projects for anything. And if you already own the obvious names, Sondre Auklend at 6.6m and 0.8% ownership is the pick most likely to move you up your league.

Which players should I sell before round 19?
Kasper Waarts Høgh (11.7m, Bodø/Glimt) first - the model gives him no projection in any of the next four rounds and 30.2% of squads still hold him. Jakob Haugaard and Leo Cornic at Tromsø are both on 0.0 xP, and Henrik Heggheim (6.3m, Viking) returns only 2.5 xP despite the round's best fixture because he is projected for around 50 minutes.
Should I use the Rich Uncle chip in round 19?
Probably not yet. The best round 19 Rich Uncle eleven projects 60.7 points before captaincy, and round 21 offers Viking at home to Kristiansund BK at an 82% win probability, the single best fixture in this window. Compare the eleven above against your own starting eleven before committing the chip.
